We have missed Ade's defensive abilities at times while he has been gone (other than his tendency to leave his line, something Lomax didn't do once tonight). He is very good under a high ball and works his butt off defensively. He is also a very good finisher. Come up with someone better and your comments may have credibility. Meanwhile, all they have is stupidity.

No one has called Ade brilliant.

In attack, it is pretty much how you called it. But also he is immense at attacking the bomb. The only player better in SL is probably Richards because of his size.

It is Ade's defence that has developed most since he has moved to the right. He is consistently a better defender than in, say, 2005. Better at taking bombs in defence, a better tackler. The only time he struggles is when he is left with an overlap, which is where any winger would struggle.

I don't think you'd find a serious Saints fan who reckons Ade is a superstar, but as far as dependable, well, I am happy with him.

Ade's been pretty, spectacularly average this season, truth be told.

I think he has been good.
He will never be oustanding because he just isnt an outstanding winger, but he is the classic modern winger, eg a good all rounder who knows how to put the ball down over the line.

Lomax looks supremely confident and I'd love to see him at fullback for years to come.

Lomax is from Billinge and lived in Orrell. He played on my step-brothers rugby team Orrell St James at fullback.

Ainscough is almost a year older than Lomax aswell so therfore should be a bigger and stronger player than Jonny.

Jonny is going well through his first team experiences albeit brief. Ainscough is a year older and in the reserves. Lomax is a year younger and often in the Saints First Team, the divide in class between Ainscough and Lomax is evident from the positioning of the teams in SL.

Yes Ainscough has more tries than Lomax but he has played 5 times the amount of games in the First team comapred to Lomax, i just like how he is playing out of his position and still doing the job.

Jonny has 2 tries in 2 starts for the First Team

Ade is good finisher and has worked really hard on taking bombs. I'd say hours of catching practice got him to were he is know as he couldn't catch a cold when he 1st come.
