| What I would like is for the west stand to have numbers or letters to mark each row on the stairs. This would make it easy to be able to meet friends. Being able to grid the stand.

The hotel is still there only as has been mentioned it is now called the Park Inn. If you don't mind a short drive (or a long walk) there is also the Premier Inn on the Linkway as you come into the town (it is set back from the road on your right as you approach St Helens).'"
Hey mate thank you so very much for that really appreciated many thanks.

| Are they not going to cover the wall at all? Perspex or something? It's just so open to vandalism where it is.

It's a sneaky little tactic by saints but it's typical of saints. When the next rain comes it will all blow up again.
I think saints just hope it will never rain when we are at home.

| I can imagine that Saints will try and deflect from it as much as possible and then complete it once the season is over.
I think I read that the roof damage set the project back?

Why not be upfront and say we are leaving it until the end of the season? there is no guarantee what the summer will bring weather wise! this maybe our summer now. Could it be the cost? and they wish to spread what funds are available currently?

| I hadn't taken a stroll as far as the North stand from the South on match days until last week and was disappointed that I could get no further than the far end of the West stand. Didn't realise they had gates in place, thought it might just be because it was a full house, but the steward told me they had always been in place.

No, they weren't there until after the Salford game. Loads of people moved stands during the game so they decided they needed to put the gates up.

| Surely thats pre judging the North stand. What's to prevent the South stand population migrating to the West stand? And before you say it I'm not suggesting further restriction of movement.

| People tried to get into the North Stand in the early games (rather than the other way round) so I presume that's why it's blocked off. I did think all stands had been gated.
In regard to the cladding, maybe it isn't a priority issue at the moment? Maybe the only people moaning about it to the club are about 20 people on here and Redvee? Plenty people got wet at KR, and continue to get wet at many other grounds.
They could sell those rain macs that you get at American theme parks, make a bit of cash whilst they're at it?

| Even if the cladding is sorted I fear that if you get really wet and windy weather then the first ten rows or so will get wet as witnessed in the first open night on 9th December. Unavoidable unfortunately and seems to happen at most modern stadia.

That happened at Knowsley Road too. It's called having no roof over the pitch!

Please don't give them an excuse for not doing the cladding! as it looks like a half finished stadium when you see it on TV.

| It could be the club are waiting till May to do the cladding when I think we don't have a home fixture for four weeks.

Not to me it doesn't. It looks like an individual design rather than an off the shelf 4 individual stands job.
Anyway, the cladding will only be 50% cladding, so you'll still see through it.

This is what the original plans showed though.
Saints haven't hidden anything just that it wasn't obvious to us all as we say the 3d graphics and it showed it enclosed but the plans didn't have cladding.
The thing is, it WILL be required as the concourses are treacherous in the wetter periods, but you could say that vast areas of KR were in the same "boat".
Either way Eamonn only really needs to stop the rain coming in for it to stop the complaints I think the stadium looks fine from where I sit in the south stand, and probably looks better in the North.

Easier said than done!
I wonder when we had the fine weather if it was felt we may get away with this for this season and one less expenditure on our outgoings, when the first complaints were raised I thought it was said it would said the cladding would be soon completed?
Perhaps the chairman and his friends do not have a bottomless pocket as some may think?
