Most of the north stand concourse was dry though wasn't it? It was towards the corners that were wet. The NW corner was soaking. I've seen on Twitter that the club are going to announce on the cladding as soon as the roof has been fixed but there was reference to cladding of the West and East stands only. Presumably that will include the corners because that is where most of the rain and wind came into the stadium.

We will see on Friday perhaps what is needed I think as I've just seen the BBC weather forecast; strong winds from the west with icey rain.

. I also waited for an trusted comment before i put the blame anywhere, I also knew about the first one which was admitted by the roofer when he inspected it, said someone has not tied them down good enough, he never tried to blame anyone, and it was a minor fault really.

As for the cladding, its a very costly job, thats why the north stand is not getting done, for now time, money, and the weather will dictate that one.

I must admit, I'm pretty disappointed the cladding isn't getting done, it looked obvious to me from the open training night that it was something that needed doing.

The north west corner was totally drenched as was other parts of the stadium.

When buying my season ticket I was advised by a mate at saints not to sit in the first 5 rows of any stand as they will get very wet.

So the same as pretty much every other stadium on the planet then?

stadiums that dont get the first few rows wet, have retractable roofs, all the others some people get wet

The only way to solve that problem is to have a closing roof. I got soaked at one of our many grand finals by sitting in row 8 at Old Trafford. Paid a fortune for that seat as well.

Well I take a coat when I go out, so no worries for me.

I work outside 50% of the time, since then i've realised that the weather changes, and sometimes it's wet AND get this, it hasn't melted me or killed me.

I got my seat near the back to avoid getting wet which I was advised to do. As its only one tier stadium it's not like it will be to far from the pitch.

Yes, I think you're right. Although, to be honest, they are all merging into one, gloom laden memory!

Not sure that is the issue here as the front rows always are liable to getting wet depnding on rain and wind direction. In fact the roof looks like it has a better overhang than widnes or even OT.

I think the problem (I assume you are talking North stand here) is potentially rain coming in from the back and or west - hence the assessment that cladding was needed at the back; now shelved on cost grounds apparently. So you might be out of the frying pan and into the fire unfortunately with your seat near the back.

That's why I got in the south. It's nice and dry providing the roof don't blow off.

hellfire it wasnt that bad when we came out , mind you we spent about 20 mins in the shop

when we went in the queue at the pop side bar looked quite long but as I dont drink I didnt try

Next time, have a look around. At some points there were no queues at all. You don't have to buy from the bar in your stand you know!
