I never thought I'd see the day when I would admire a bridge. But that bridge is awesome.

I'm going to expect to see a heavily armoured Idris Elba stood at the opposite end of that bridge everytime I cross it now.

I'd turn it off if there's no match on to save leccy and taxpayers money...

Good Idea mate unfortunately those lights are the only illumination for the bridge so if they turned em off we would get loads of Tescos shoppers plummeting onto the carriageway in the dark !!

The lights are LED's and so have a low energy consumption compared to similar lamps which could give the same effect.

Ok all the roadworks under the footbridge have gone it looks like they have finished the landscaping,all thats left is the site ofices (the portakabins) and storage area to move, and both lanes both ways are open

went under last night it had changed back to red and white, from rainbow, have a look at wigan site (nice of our neighbours) they hate it surprise surprise, cant even get them into a bit of humour

And the same to all you Fartowners , yes we cant wait for the new season, it was awesome standing inside the stadium on the open training session a couple of weeks ago , seemed like an unreal experience , see you all in the new year

Most Wigan fans are just pretty open with their jealousy though. Looks a fantastic ground and one that we'd all love to have.

At the end of the day both teams now play in top class stadia's which is fantastic.
