At long bloody last, the Council have given the Theatre Royal a sign. They've been begging for one for years. Also at long last more than just the glass museum has been identified as worthy of a visit. I hope the exact contents of this sign are replicated at all the other main routes into town AND that one is placed on the motorways.

| Lots of piccies of the bridge which now has its ribs in place
This is the view from Burger King
and from Tesco's
from the stadiums North stand car park
looking more closely at the bridge
a lamp post has already been fitted at the top of the ramp close to Tesco's
The bridge in all its glory.
a closer look shows it is no longer being supported and can now truely be called a bridge
looking towards Tesco's from St.Helens town centre side
light fittings going in close to the St.Helens Chamber building on THE SAINTS WAY
finally, look closely at the footpath towards the Kings corner near Tesco's and you can see these holes were lights have yet to be fitted.

| I hope they put lights on the actual bridge itself highlighting the struts. There's one in Manchester of similar design with lights and it looks classy. Near Albert's Shed and Twisted Med restaurants for those who know.

If you look closely at the ends of the ribs you can see small lights on them. On the underside of the walkway on the seventh picture down you can also see the front and back of two lights. These are located dead centre of the bridge.

| Fabulous pics again CM. I was hoping you'd post a few more!
I like the idea of the bridge being lit up. It's a fine bridge and I'm really looking forward to crossing it on 9 December!

| Some shuttering needs to be done yet around the base of the bridge, and some fancy handrails yet to be fitted on the bridge, the handrails are coming from Portugal.

The Halo is simply the shape of the stadium (tenuous, I know).
The cladding issue will be sorted, if not for the first game then certainly within the early part of the season.

Reading that you can see why clubs are looking at how Widnes get on with their plastic pitch.
The fact the club have gone to the expense of fitting a top line pitch would make me think they would be prepared to fork out for the necessary maintenance.
£25k a year sounds a lot. However if a well kept pitch reduces player injuries and results in better rugby that attracts fans then the revenue will be clawed back that way.
It does show however that new stadiums can be just as much a money pit as old grounds.

| I would question the conclusion that the club has not incorporated maintenance costs into their thinking, as the writer does`nt know if it was , as none of us know either however £25,000 is considerably less than the £500,000 a year it took to keep KR from falling down and up to H&S spec

It'll look even better with 15 minutes of playing time still on the clock and it's full of Wigan fans going home early in disgust.

| Picked up my season ticket today and took a few snaps.
This is the view of the West stand concourse. As you can see its flooded. If the weather is bad on friday then i recommend people ensure they bring some Wellies or boots.
The North stand was a lot better, just the odd puddle.
I suspect with prevailing winds in the UK coming from the South West, it will be the West terrace that suffers the most re flooded concourses.
They were also taking away the supports for the Bridge today
still work to do though to get the bridge open for Friday, not the least of which is fitting all the lighting
took a sneak peak inside the new cafe bar. Its interesting to note that over the weekend they have removed the doors that linked into the club shop and have built a sealed partition. So you wont be able to walk from the bar into the shop.
Beer drinkers will be dissapointed to note that the ale on sale in this cafe bar consists of the following
Fosters, disgusting fake Australian fizzy pop
Kronenburg strong but fizzy
Robinsons nitro keg.
Saints Gold, this also appears to be nitro keg
Yet another Langtree Park sign has appeared. This time above the police control box. Its as if they are breeding.

| was also chatting to someone who had seen the completed players dressing rooms. He compared them to those at Wembley.
Said every player had their own booth, to put clothes and gear in.
These are Wembleys, by the way

| The cafe/bar looks nice, but is there only going to be one till? It'll take an age to get served?
They really need to get something sorted with regards to the flooded concourse areas.

The roof has been fixed. See some of my earlier pics a page or two back.
The perforated and therefore not weather proof cladding has yet to be fitted, but otherwise stadium is pretty much finished.
However the pics show the extent of the lack of weather protection on the concourses for fans. So fingers crossed that the weather is ok for this friday.
