He has the potential to be not only effective, but extremely influential to the team.
He needs a rocket up his . Send him to Rochdale for a bit. At least someone like Ant Walker will put the graft in.

I disagree on this. LMS has proven time and again, he looks good when things are going well, but doesn't have the ability to change momentum when things are going against us. He looks good at 13 because he can pick and choose when he gets involved, and can get away from doing hard graft.
That said, LMS at 13 gives us far more options for the game vs Leeds

I instantly thought of our first game at Sakfords new ground, in which we were losing, then he came in and played a blinder and we came back and won. That's only one game and it was two years ago, mind, but I do think he was at the forefront of our good perfromences last year.
He does look better when he starts at 13, and you're right, it because there's two other pros to do his work for him.

| By all accounts Hohaia had a good game v Leeds.
That was when your pack beat the opposition forwards. Like any hb if your pack wins they have a good game, when they lose the hb's disappear.
The second half v Wigan both Hohaia & Walsh were anonymous, probably because the Saints pack lost their battle big time.
Yes, you may need a better 6 than Lance but the problem to me lies with your pack. Are they capable of winning in the big games? They equalled Wigan's forwards in the first half and went in half time at 3 tries each.
Two quick scores by Wigan early 2nd half and despite down to 2 subs the Wigan forwards won the battle of the packs very clearly.
If Saints want to get back to winning trophies so they have to reinforce the pack before anything.

| I actually disagree.
Walsh was far from anonymous in the second half v Wigan. He was trying all he knew to pull something out to keep us in the game.
Whilst it may not have come off (mainly due to dropped ball) he did put in an effort.

This. We were creating plenty vs Wigan, the execution was just poor.

| I've had a change of heart listening to the arguement on here and would probably not drop percival in at such short notice. Also the hooker on the bench may not be fesalbe for this game. So I would now go with the following..
Lomax
Swift
Jones
Turner
Makinson
Lance
Walsh
Amor
Roby
Walmsley
LMS
Sia
Wilkin
Masoe
Savallio
Wellens
Flanaghan

Amor is 50:50 - genuine or gameplay? Percival isn't available, nor is laffranchi, Manu or wheeler ... Why is wheeler unavailable? (Like I need to ask)

What was his injury?

Squad named'"
Armor, Percival & Swift back - didn't someone say Percival was a definitely not available.
Looks a good squad, but a bit disappointed no Andre Savelio.
referring to Brown's comments today about the Wigoon match:
[i"They were a little bit better than us and that showed in the second half. They scored a nice try from a kick and a nice shift try too then it was pretty even after that. We weren't far away but we weren't good enough to beat a side of Wigan's quality".[/i
He didn't watch the same game that I did at LP, not on that day. In the second half we were nowhere close to the goons.

| On the plus side, i would suggest that that squad represents our perceived first choice 17 availiable, so no excuses if we lose, we're just not good enough.
Leeds back line scares the hell out of me, but with Amor, Walmesley and Mose the front row should be well good enough

They should be fairly fit as some only played 7 days ago, the rest 14 days ago. Hardly been a long break. The question is how injured are they??
I can see a few taking an injection and then sitting out the weeks against Bradford and London.

I have to take the kids out to a party at 4. Do I watch the first half and tape the rest, or tape the whole match and watch it tonight???
