The ref didn't ruin that game. He was poor (and yes he was poor for both sides) but it's the bickering amongst the fans that have taken away from what should of been a spectacle of a game.

I have yet to read a post congratulating saints on snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. We didn't make the decisions, simply played to the whistle. If Huddersfield had, we'd of probably seen extra time

Of the five teams Wigan beat last season three of them had beaten Saints and a fourth drawn with them. The other one was Leigh who you didn't play.
2011 we beat Bradford, Wire , Saints and Leeds.

Totally, if we're as good as we make out then we should be playing the teams to prove it.

The game is to be played the following week after the Easter period so I can see us resting players against Widnes for the cc the following week.

I'm happy to do that providing we beat Cas Friday and Wigan the following Friday but Daniel Anderson used to say he's happy with one win over the Easter games and no injuries.

Seems a poor time to play the challenge cup as the games following Easter are usually pretty poor.

Large problem. BBC already have there slot announced for Saturday 26th April 2PM, Leeds Carnegie are at home that day in their last game of the season, cannot be changed due to being last game apparently. Unless BBC want to play ball and have this game on, they'll have to change the slot time.

If the clubs had some balls they would play it at Elland Road, if Leeds FC aren't playing there.

Or you could always switch the tie to St Helens. Our ground is free of unwanted guestsicon_wink.gif

I will miss this by a few days coming home for the pies game.Leeds are drawn at home and they have proper sized goal posts .Leeds once played at E R in a big game and used Hunslet's goal post's and Hunslet won the title.

Leeds RUFC will move to South Leeds or Otley or somewhere. There is no question of them interfering with the primary users of the stadium.

Put it one way i'm more confident playing Leeds at Headingley than i was playing Huddersfield away. I hate us playing the Giants, even when they was only just coming good under Brown they always made life difficult for us.

Large problem? That's no problem at all. Leeds Carnegie have an average crowd of 2000 and will be at home to a team from Penzance in a game that irrelevant to the league because the 4 teams in the play-offs are already decided. (I didn't know this, not caring about Union but looked it up).

Rather than miss BBC exposure for Leeds, the RU side can be shifted to Otley or Harrogate or wherever, where I'm sure they'll be happier anyway.

This would have to be in agreement with the RFU, Carnegie & Cornish Pirates aswell as they have plans in place for the game already.

They could just play a doubleheader, as Harlequins RU and RL did a few years ago at the Stoop. (Was the RL game v Saints?)
