| This is the draw I wanted, Wigan and Leeds might be favourite for the Final. But iff Saints improve there form, similarly with Cas, could be a Saints v Cas final.

C'mon you Saints!
We played outstanding rugby today. If Leon stays fit - and there was a moment today when he looked poorly - then we have a good chance of turning over the Pies in two weeks based on our performance today.'"
I was sat right infront of Leon when he was hunched down and it looked to be his hip but he looked to have run it off.
Was shenton injured? He went off and seemed to be holding his arm in a way as you would if hurt his shoulder.

| Game at HJ. and tickets apportioned as per average attendances.
6,449 at Widnes today and I understand from a Saints supporting friend that something like 2K were from HKR.
So for the HJ, 9K to Wigan and 4K to Saints, that seems reasonable to me.

IMO it would be silly to play it at HJ stadium as it's to small. All the stay aways come cralling out the woodwork on semi and final day.
The saints attendences this year have been poor but it's under difficult circumstance of playing at Widnes for our home games.
I think saints will take 8,000 to the semi and maybe more with it bring Wigan.

Pete I'm a logical person, I had to be in the job I did.
Give me a logical reason why Saints should get the same number of tickets for this game as Wigan.
Only about 4K could be bothered travelling six miles today (and I'm being generous with the six miles).
Which venue would you use?

I'm not saying saints deserve more, I'm saying the rfl would be silly on possibly losing revenue by playing at a stadium that's to small.
All saints fans will agree, our crowds have been very poor this year due to one thing or another but I honesty think it should be played at Huddersfield.

| There was never a 1:2 ration of fans today, 1:3 is more reasonable.
It was a poor attendance, but there was certainly more than 4k Saints fans. The East stand was full and the South stand had plenty in too. Hull KR left about 4 blocks worth completely untouched in the West. Still a good following by them though and they were noisy.

If they won't travel to Widnes then I don't think they'll travel to Huddersfield.
Preston could be a reasonable alternative or Bolton.

| In 2009 when both clubs were in the semi the HJ was scheduled for Wigan v Saints if the draw panned out that way.
As it happened Wigan drew Wire and Saints drew Huddersfield.
Trust me, that is correct and came from a high ranking person in the Wigan commercial operation.

If it was played at hudds then a lot of Saints fans really wouldn't travel.
I would love to see it played at the Reebok but chances are it will be Warrington.

I thought a man with the many years of knowledge and that has watched the game for the past 80 years would know that they all crawl out the woodwork for semi finals and finals.
I'm only joking about the age thing, I know you've been watching it longer than 80 years

Hope so!
We do owe Wigan one though after taking out wembley 100% record in 1992. Leeds will have to have an off day for us to beat them though.

No football club will let the semi be played at their stadium. The pitches will have all been re- done in the off season.

| Jes the draw is only a few hours old, nice to see the old rivalries are already stiring up passions even if it is about which stadia. lol
I reckon we will have Wigan's number for this one. Better to play now whilst we have a little run of form going.
We've got Cas next week whose heads will hopefully be at a historic chance to get to Wembley.
Wigan have Hull who have come off their run of form, but will be looking to put everything into sealing that top 8 spot between now and the end of the season.
A win for Saints and Wigan next week I think. But maybe with Wigan having a bit more of a tougher outing against the Black and Whites.
I think we may even rush Clough back a week early if possible so he has a hit out the week before the semi.

| The squads are going to be critical for this one.
We can put Fielden, Cross and Farrell in, giving 3 players a week off before the semi and still field a strong team vs Hull.

| Should be an terrific game.
Interesting to note that you've got Leon Pryce back. However seeing as he tends to go missing when the going get's tough I'm not to concerned. But in the rare case that he does rear his ugly head I'm sure a Coley or Lima special to the knee's will take care of him.
I must say I'm reasonably confident going into this game. If only because of the fact that everything good that Saints do comes from quick play of the ball's, and we're as I'm sure you well know are the masters of slowing it down.

| I would imagine our semi will be viewed as the game of the weekend so it will go on the Saturday. I too hope for the HJ, if they can stand it, because we don't want the place looking empty and Saints fans have been terrible this season in turning up for any match, regardless of price or anything really. Saints -v- Wigan at Wire just might attract enough Saints support to actually give the lads some vocal back up during the match.

Agreed - especially for someone who doesn't drink all that much...
Should be a great game as we head into it with probably the fittest squad we've had all year. Bring it on!

Don't tempt fate with our injury record we still have to play before the semi which has potential for more injuries.
