These are pretty harsh judgements of a 19yr old front rower. Frodsham is by all accounts very highly rated indeed at youth level, and has, I believe, captained England Academy. The thing about him is you can tell as soon as you look at him that he's nowhere near his physical peak yet, and he plays in a position where that really matters. If he's still getting bowled over at 22/23, then fair enough.

Actually one would presume they would be playing first team in the Championship rather than reserves at a Super League club. The likes of Wilkin, Coady and Amor prove there is life after the Championship.

If the clubs applied the same logic as some on here to their young forwards, Jamie Peacock would probably be a plumber.

Why? I can spot which young players will be good from a mile off. The club should just employ me. I'd save them a fortune.

That would be a waste of skill unless you have a young player to play centre all season but I do not think any are up for it.

Agreed. Frodsham has never looked out of place. He runs confident lines, and is willing to take the ball up. More to the point he looks an athletic front rower who will make a mark. A top player in the making IMO.

| The most important thing in assessing our front row next year is to compare it to other front rows in the competition. What's Leeds' and Huddersfield's front rows looking like next year?

Yours is better then Huddersfield's and possibly Leeds aswell imo.
Injuries have played a big part this year in Saints weakness in the frontrow and if you can keep Fa'savalau fit on top of adding Fozzard back in there you'll be looking pretty strong.
I can't name too many teams frontrows that'll look stronger tbh.

The Leeds front row for next season will be something like;
Peacock, Kylie, Bailey, Burgess, Eastwood (finally), Kirke (if necessary) as props
Buderus (fully fit fingers crossed), Diskin and McShane as hookers.
Whilst I am biased, thats stronger than it is / has been this year thanks to the addition of Eastwood and the hopeful return to fitness of Buderus.

He is a star in the making!! Eastwood will play a similar role to Ali!! Bit of go forward when needed and strong, fast skillful running wide of the ruck!! Expect the Leeds power play to have Ali down one side Eastwood down the other and peacock n kylie up the middle with buderus running the show from dummy half, burrrow n sinfield first and second receiver one side and mcguire and Webb on the other feeding the 3/4 's!! Leeds attack next season will blow this years out of the water!!

| Huddersfields will be something like this
Mason Lunt / Faiumu Griffin
Faalogo Gilmour
Wild
Sculthorpe, Crabtree, Raleigh plus the non starting hooker off the bench.
Defintely puts us behind Leeds but puts us in the following pack.

Grahams better then Peacock imo nowadays
I'd take Fa'asvalau over Leuluai(who i don't rate tbh)
I'd take Fozzard over Bailey
Luke Burgess is a good young prop and better then Hargreaves by miles
As for the stand in props i'd take Puletua and Clough over Eastwood and Kirke aswell but it's just an opinion.
I'd also rather have Cunningham and Roby over Bederus and Diskin.
As i said before i think injuires have played a big part for Saints this year(and possibly a bad relationship with Potter) and if they can keep all those lads fit for big chunks of next season I think they'll have the beating off most packs.
Where Leeds have the edge is in the backs with great pace and power aswell as Sinfield linking in from the pack and organising the side like an extra halfback.

very varied with skills that appeal to all tastes.
If you like it English he has a good tackling game, with a little french vavavoom thrown in. the area he needs to develop is passing and linking in with his runners.
I reckon he will be pushing for international honours within a couple of years. He seems to work hard and is determined

| Jay Pitts is in the Leeds squad aswell, he's a promising young prop. Kyle Amor too. I think they have better strength in depth than us at prop, and their second rowers all have some size and carry the ball well, which can't be said of ours.
