Luke Bailey is currently Gold Coast Titans' Co-Captain in the NRL. He's 29 and looks a lot like a less mangled Nick Fozzard. He has broken his arm multiple times much like Foz too.

Would be a decent signing, a body if nothing else. The Aussie media called him 'inspirational' at the weekend.

What people are forgetting is that we have four props but two of them are injured. Tony P you can argue maybe isn't a prop, however he is more than capable of playing in that position so it's a non-discussion point for me. Cayless' injuries have proved to be difficult to overcome so replacing him for someone who is more durable is a start. Hargreaves has been our fifth choice prop and we all commented at the beginning of the year that is what he is. A few may have suggested he's capable of being fourth choice but the overall consensus was that our front four of Graham, Tony P, Maurie and Cayless would be strong enough and if all were fit it's the best in the competition. The problem has been two injuries which would test any squad.

Luke Bailey stated about 2 months back that 2010 would be his last season in the NRL nad then he would be heading to superleague for 2011.

Unless thats changes any club chasing him is going to have to wait for 12months.

we will have to wait n see i suppose? but if it came off it would be a great signing i.m.o excellent player is bailey! and at 29 we should get the best out of him

Got to agree with one poster big misstake letting Mason go he is better than Clough,Hargreaves,and the way the lads matured i would say he is beter than Cayless,his line speed in defence is Awesome and he hits the ball up at 100 mile an hour,he out played the Ginger one yesterday.

Mason has been average since we let him go 4 years ago.

The decision to let him go was a correct one.

I think he is big enough but not good enough at the mo.

His running style looks all wrong to me, he runs upright.

The statistics actually show CLough as being better than Mason. Not bad considering CLough is only a kid. Whereas Mason is an experieinced prop.

I agree that if Cayless goes we need to sign a prop, however I suspect we may merely bring Frodsham through.
He would have played a good few games this year i feel but for injury.
Just got to hope he comes through strong next season.

the league weekly said that the noises from oz and here is that it's done deal for bailey.

IMO would be very good signing. He's big, strong and pretty fast for a prop.

I knew we should of kept Keith Mason and Ricky Bibey we are really missing them know!!

he needs, imo another 2 years to fully fill out, even jammer wasn't much cop til he was 21

Mason is 27, so as a forward (in a different position, by the way) he should be better than Clough, and its not hard to be better than Cayless when he can't play. When Mason went, we had Cayless, Anderson, Fozzard, Graham and Faasavalu, there was no way he would have even been 5th choice at the time.

Not surprised he outplayed Graham, he is currently the only 'real' prop holding the whole pack up on his own.

We can't afford that, we need to sign at least 1 prop as well as utilising Frodsham and Emmitt as cover for the injuries we will undoubtedly encounter.

you could see jammer had something about him when he broke into the 1st team. I said to my brother 1st time I saw him that he would be good prop but didn't think he would be this good!

Frodsham runs upright and is asking to be smashed. He dosent seem to have the confidence to me.

Maybe DA should have got him back on pitch against the bulls when burgess smashed him. It might have give him bit of confidence back.

I think he pretty big lad for his age. Defo big enough to play super league IMO

I think it's important we sign 2 props. 1 world class(bailey) and a good big hard working prop like griffin at giants.

Chair,if you are talking Engage stats? i think you will find that Clough has played 2 more games tham Mason and done less carries but you have your oppinion i have Mine, and like i said i think Mason is as good as your present Frontrowers,and as for the fool that put him in the same bracket has Bibey,well what can i say

I think we should be the pioneers and get ITV to do 'Prop Idol'. Get a load of people to audition for the prop position and televise it. Cheryl Cole, Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe could be the judges and we could vote off a player each week until we've got the next Apollo/Baloo/Sonny.

i like the idea of having cheryl cole there, apart from that its not a bad plan

im pretty certain that London Broncos ran a 'prop idol' competition. However this was a good few years ago, before they became Quins

We would end up with Andy Coley insted of Cheryl Cole me thinks, were nto flush with coin like the RFU so couldnt afford her tight little camels toe .
