A month till handover and I can't wait, it looks sensational and when finished it will be a stunning facility.

What's the parking like around the stadium?

There's a rumour about some pay and display parking going on the last plot of land Langtree have yet to develop but so far as the Saints ground is concerned, there is no able bodied parking for fans.

Except two multi story carparks in town, linked by a shiny new bridge.

Saints are in discussion with the Council about the use of the same. If you remember, the final plans were passed by the hung Council on a couple of platforms, one of which was the green agenda (discouraging CO2). Based on what I remember, originally Saints said that the plan was for fans to use the multistoreys and that the Council would open them and provide security. However, we have since had an election and the slightly thick people of St Helens returned a Labour run council. Anything could be the case now. Saints are also in discussions with B&Q about their parking policy, which they are going to advise Saints about later in the year.

oh for a ground built near houses rather than retail developments!!

There is plenty of parking in the area. Town 10/15 mins walk, two retail parks 5 mins walk.
There are good bus and train links into St Helens town 10/15 mins walk. Best option IMO.
Failing that walk to the ground calling in at every pub for a swift half along the way.
If those options dont satisfy stay at home and watch on sky or listen on radio as you are not a true supporter. Simples

You must walk very slowly. I'd halve them times easy.

Maybe Tesco don't want us all trouping past their place so another walkway has been put in place leading from the bridge? Or maybe that is just one of the approach options fans will have. Who knows? It's still a while from being finished.

That last aerial photo looks fantastic.

Aerial pics really show the stadium off, those who live this end of town, or play Golf at Sherdley will know the large amount of aeroplanes that fly low over that way, will be able see it going on your hols!

That walkway leads to the footpaths on the side of the linkroad which in turn lead to the toucan crossing near the Renault Garage as well as the "frogger" crossing opposite Burger King.

I was posting hoping someone was going to give some info on the parking situation on the Ravenhead retail park, they must know now wether or not match day parking will be allowed.

This bloke is busy painting all the steelwork. Getting rid of any areas were the paint has been chipped off



The South East corner is now fully clad. The Turnstiles are also getting the red cladding treatment

seats have now been fitted to the disabled areas in the Western terrace. The terracing has also now been completed down to ground level



looking at the South stand and the vast majority of the seats are in place. This includes all the executive seating areas and disabled seating on the front row.
Have to say it looks very impressive

Lots of tarmacing has been done behind the West , North and East stands, though its by no means finished and it needs some heavy rainfall to clear the dust and dirt off it. The roadsweeper has a bit of a thankless job.







They also appear to be digging some of it up again, close to drains. Maybe the drains are leaking

On the Tesco side the landscaping work is continuing.

Large lawns along with flower beds have been planted.
On a warm day like today i can imagine swarms of fans decending onto Tesco's like a plague of locusts, sundering it of Special Brew and White Lightning, which they then consume on the carpets of grass.





Finally here is a shot ot the site showing the trolly shelters going in at Tesco's.

They have also started to fit the large Tesco Extra sign above the building.

It looks great. Can't wait to go to a game there now. Can't imagine how excited you lot are.

Which is the away end? And when will the bridge linking the train station and ground be built? 5 to 10 minute walk from station will it be?

the away end is the other end from Tesco, the bridge will be handed over the end of October.
the bridge is intended as a link to the town centre, you can use the bridge from the station, its debatable wether its shorter using the bridge or walking down, Peasley cross lane directly onto the away end, myself I would use the bridge via the town centre, pubs atmosphere etc, or use the bridge via Saint Marys market, missing the town centre.
Station, via town centre, bridge then stadium 12minutes.
