I can well imagine him going the same way as Henry Paul and ending up on the international 7's circuit - Travel the world, get well paid and play a bit. Come the end of your career, however, you're probably going to be thinking you could have acheived a lot more.

£££s are important, but lets face it, unless he's wreckless with his dough, Kyle's RL career would set him up very nicely for life, even if it doesn't match a RU offer.

Like you say i dont think there'll be a massive difference in potential career earnings, unless he can become the darling of English RU, but i dont see that happening. In league though he could be THE face of the game in this country, get all the best sponsorship deals like scully did 5 or so years ago, he's already on the cover of the rugby league game so the marketing men in league already see his potential.

Unless a real bargain presents itself, I say we muddle through this year, letting Wheeler, Lomax and Gaskell fight it out for who partners Leon. If none of them make the grade (or are obviously better suited elsewhere) then we can get Thurst....I mean someone new in for next season.

The problem with that is we then are operating with one first choice half back who isn't the best kicker and if he gets injured then we are in trouble!

I'd rather have kept Matty Smith and sold Eastmond for mega Buck. When they announced the two year deal at the beginning of last season we all new it would just start the same problems 12 months later and here we are!

The more I think about Kyle playing rugby union, the less convinced I am.

Little guy, lots of skill, lots of pace? The first ruck he end up at the bottom of, some hairy french prop's going to give him a shoeing, and kyle will be limping back to the changing rooms with that familiar look on his face.
