Well to be honest we dont really know how terrace season tickets are going. I use the 2000 figure based on the fact the East stand at Widnes holds around 2400, and usually only has a few hundred tickets on general sale per match. For all we know the west terrace may already be looking at 3000 season ticket holders for next season.
Alternatively some of those who went east stand at Widnes may have decided to upgrade to either North or South stand at the new stadium.

This season at Widnes may have gone a long way to changing peoples minds about seating. Personally I think terracing is a romantics view on the game. Most people manage at wiganwith people jumping up from their seats. I see no reason why we cannot. The good thing is that the standing is probably fairly easy to convert if the romantic notion wears off and the demand for seating increases.

Great news on the sales of season tickets

I for one wouldn't have bought a season ticket next year if the stadium had been made an all seater. How many seats would they fit on the West terrace compared to people standing.

Daft excuse not to get a season ticket if you ask me!!!

I personally hate all seaters, i like an option 95% of the time i prefer standing

I see they have gone with Saints on one side, I wonder if they have held back on the other side to see who offers the most cash for getting their names on the stadium?

Stadium looks good but i do have some concerns for it......my dads company is working on the stadium and he was showing me his pics.

Three of the stands have open backs to them, people at the back are likely to get wet.

Also the concourses are open to the elements also! Very strange...... any reasons for this?

One of the main changes this week is the fitting of the Turnstyles

These are of the East stand turnstyles





North west corner turnstyles, which are for people in the West terrace and also South stand seats



One of the north stand turnstyle blocks



The pavements are also being prepared to be laid around the stadium perimeter. This will be of the same material as that which has been laid close to the entrance of JK Phillips

Part 2

As you may have glimpsed in the previous photos, seats have been going into the South stand

Here are a group of pics showing that the seats in this stand are plain red. No fancy writing on them



These two pics show a block were only seat frames have been fitted. I think this is because this block is for the premium seat holders with their padded seats. Spot the photographer on the second pic





The steps to pitch level are also now being fitted

Finally some pics of the stadium from the Tesco/link road side. Notice the additional tree planting and the footpath made of the same material as that close to the entrance of JK phillips and the South stand.

Where is KC's statue going to be situated?

No, Idea. I would like to think its in the area were all the tree planting is going on close to the South West corner of the stadium.

That way it would make a nice meeting place for people.

Last thing we want is for it to be dumped on the roundabout.
