Would be great from a marketing perspective. "Get a Pizza the action at the Dominos Pizza Stadium" etc. I suppose they would have to sell dominos pizza at the ground too? £3 a slice sounds good.

| As its the last league match at Widnes tonight i have booked the day off work, so took time out to take the latest instalment of the new stadium piccies.
I arrived to see a busy building site and a tingling in my spine that something was not quite right with the view of the East stand on Peasley cross lane.
It felt different, and then i saw what had changed. Scattered along Peasley cross lane were the corpses of trees.
Moving up the entrance road past the former gatehouse I saw the scattered remains of what were once blossom trees.
All that now exists of these once proud trees are wood chippings and tree stumps.
Opposite the main stadium entrance just one tree remains. Its bark tainted with the mark of death; or just maybe its a kiss of salvation, and this tree is to retain its place amongst the Saints.
At the site entrance i saw the fluorescent monsters that were carrying out this butchery. The chainsaw they handled screamed out in pleasure, as the last of the trees along Peasley Cross lane fell.
As a result of all this carnage there is now an almost uninterrupted view of the stadiums South and East stands from Peasley Cross. I cant help feel though that the death of all these trees has taken away some of the beauty of the new stadium. The site has now taken on a rather cold and clinical look. All concrete and tarmac.

| What a shame to see any healthy tree cut down. Hopefully they'll replant some more, but in that case why cut them down in the first place.

| Anyway enough of all the eco warrior swampy stuff and onto what else has changed.
The concrete base near the entrance has been extended
lots of work is ongoing preparing the East stand car park
All the seats including those on the disabled platform look to be in place in the north stand. No seats have gone into the South stand as of yet. However the three seats that were once in place there, have now been removed
Behind the North stand close to the Tesco goods entrance are, for want of a better word "Light Sticks". These aluminium lighting posts will be placed around the stadium walkways to brighten the way to the Saintly blessing.
Electrical work is also ongoing within the stadium. Against the side of the West stand can be seen the Electrical conduits.
The builder entering the gap between the North and West stands also provides a good sense of scale with regard to the outer blockwork perimeter wall.
Are those boxes with concept written on them for Concept bathroom furniture?
Lights have also been fitted underneath the East stand terracing. This looks like its the concourse lighting

| Moving onto the link road side, and it can bee seen that there has been quite a bit of mud moving going on.
Flanking the linkroad , either side of the Tesco entrance, were two large mounds of dirt . One of these mounds has now been cleared away, except for a small section to keep the New stadium sign standing
I also noticed that the large brick building that i think was an electrical substation has also been demolished. Its remains are now in the process of being pulverised
Those trees in the background weren't there last week either.
Speaking to a workman onsite, he confirmed they had planted a row of Trees lining the walkways to the stadium at a cost of over £1000 a tree

Why would you say that on a forum read by Sintelliners - they'll be gone by the morning!
Fabulous pics by the way, really great. Thank you very much.

| Reading in the programme for tonights match that there are less than 200 places left in the premium seating at the new stadium.
The stadium has around 1000 Premium seats. This doesnt include executive boxes by the way.
These seats work out at around £550 per season to purchase. Saints are probably looking at around half a million pounds worth of sales with these tickets.
I also note on the Saints website a reply from someone enquiring about executive boxes for 2012 and being advised that all 12 boxes are already sold out for the full season.
Saints have 11 boxes which hold 12 people and one 24 person box. The 12 people boxes cost £15k per season and the 24 man box costs £28k. So Saints are looking at around £200k for the season from these boxes.
In total then we are possibly looking at 1000 corporate sales already
Ontop of this we have approximately 1000 regular sales for the South stand
2500 reserved seats sold for the North stand
2000+ standing season ticket holders
Probably a further 500 in family areas and unreserved seating.

Is it not a major surprise that behind the sticks hasn't sold out yet? I thought they would go like hot cakes. Seems to me the clamour for terracing might have been misplaced.

Well to be honest we dont really know how terrace season tickets are going. I use the 2000 figure based on the fact the East stand at Widnes holds around 2400, and usually only has a few hundred tickets on general sale per match. For all we know the west terrace may already be looking at 3000 season ticket holders for next season.
Alternatively some of those who went east stand at Widnes may have decided to upgrade to either North or South stand at the new stadium.

This season at Widnes may have gone a long way to changing peoples minds about seating. Personally I think terracing is a romantics view on the game. Most people manage at wiganwith people jumping up from their seats. I see no reason why we cannot. The good thing is that the standing is probably fairly easy to convert if the romantic notion wears off and the demand for seating increases.
Great news on the sales of season tickets

| I for one wouldn't have bought a season ticket next year if the stadium had been made an all seater. How many seats would they fit on the West terrace compared to people standing.

You and your cladding is getting everywhere!!!
I see they have gone with Saints on one side, I wonder if they have held back on the other side to see who offers the most cash for getting their names on the stadium?

they look to be holding back on a strip of red cladding
on the main stand for similar reasons, thinks me.
