I think I am alone in this "Westerman" love affair, I thought last year he staretd well, destoryed Ste Tyrer and scored plenty of points, but this year and the second half of last year I cant say I have been in awe or overjoyed with the lads talent. Cass's best player seems to be that Seargant at prop forward, decent chap he is, plenty meter's he seems to make and soem big auld tackles to.

Ryan McGouldrick (sp) is a class player.

I would of thought he'd let Lomax carry on on the wing - give him a 3 or 4 match run like he did with Armstrong then Wheeler.

Kyle should defo be involved, but I'm not sure whether (and how) we'll try and simulate our classic two hooker trick. Maybe he'd bring Eastmond on and he and Long could share the dummy half duties - or would he use Lomax as a hooker and someone else on the wing?

I assume Puletua will start at prop, with Emmit or Frodsham on the bench.

Can never make out if he supposed to be a FB or a stand off.

It is a bit of a dilema. In the interests of the future of the team possibly longy switch to hooker when KC has a breather and Kyle to 7, but it doesnt really sound feasable

They might roam kinda left and right and take the responsibility when they're near the ruck, leaving t'other free to take up 1st reciever. However, this is a little off the cuff for Potter's playing style, i reckon.

Wilkin can go into dummy half when KC is off. Ordinarily I'd say this is an ideal game to give Kyle 80 mins, but with our badly weakened front row it's going to be tough for whoever plays 7, so I would probably keep him on the bench.

I agree in that Slick does seem to prefer a more structured set up.

That's another way of looking at it that did cross my mind. Personally I think he's up to it, so I wouldn't mind if he started, but the safety first option would be the bench.

We are going to need to find out sooner or later, so throw him in, what ever happens we'll be top still so its a risk worth taking IMO

Mmm, I would say that Cas propbably don't defend with the same intensity as some of the top team (you can correct me though) so its a better week for Tony P to be playing in the front row, he should have some good effect there.

We've also got rough tough paul clough to take up jammers workload mantle (and he may feel he's got a point to prove after not being selected for the international).

Bit of a fancy Dan with the ball is McGoldrick, but from what I've seen his defence, whether against kicks or in the line, is poor.

Cloughy is much better.

At times ryan mcgoldrick is a a brilliant player, he's had a hand in the majority of our tries this year, at times his discipline lets him down and up until this year his defence wasnt great, but overall a player i'm glad to have in my team and one that could get into most other teams in the comp. As for the poster who asked about his positioning, mcgoldricks a utility who is mainly playing fullback for us but also plays, lf, so, sh, c.
