My personal thoughts are that Savelio has bee totally missused, the lad play nearly all his rugby at loose forward yet he has been used as a battering ram by KC.

I'm gutted.

Can think of several players I would have shipped out before him: Owens, Tasi, DP, Richards....

Even more bizarre Salford are trying to get him on a 12 month loan deal next season.

Sav made his debut today. Came on when we were 10 0 down. Added real aggression to start with. Settled, then ran some superb lines in the second half. 1 for his try and 1 where he got stopped short but allowed gale to walk in. Had a touch of class about him. Can tell he's played in the back row as a youngster, really impressed with him.

One best debut I seen by a player coming in to a Cas side after a week caused real trouble with or with out ball looked class don't know what gone wrong at saints but he is proper player.

We all know how good he is, I've followed him all way thru our youth system and he's got potential to be a top class player.

Will defo be a nrl player

Is that the issue.

He's been spoken of as an NRL player for years but does that have an impact when you are still only potential ?

You have to be actully playing for nrl teams to see you play and for some reason couldn't at Saints.

I'll put money on him ending up at Warrington Leeds or Wigan via a lesser club on his way to nrl

He should be at L/F instead of Wilkin.

Cas Tigers coach Powell as asked Cunningham is Savelio can play on Thursday night due to injuries and has been turn down. Poor form that and very disappointing.

Why is it poor form? You willingly signed him on the basis he can't play v saints. The only poor form is Cas trying to go back on the agreed terms then the likes of you moaning about it.

Im fairly certain it wasnt in the agreed terms....as its a "short" term loan its the league rules that you cannot play against your parent club unless they agree. Thats the difference between a season long loan and a short term loan i think. I may be wrong though.

That being said, Savelio has been quality for us since his arrival and I hope we can do a deal to keep him or loan him next season. To me, it shows Cunninghams inexperience as a coach compared to DP, I dont think KC is a bad coach at all, he will do very well for you.

Maybe Cunningham still sees him having a future at Saints, allowing him to play may send out the wrong signals to Sav. Hence more respect to the player and less respect to Cas, or maybe its not the thing to do at the moment putting a top 4 finish at risk.

Shame he did not see this earlier in the season, when Andre was playing well.

No doubt the kid is a talent and hopefully he can bring the form he has shown at Cas back to us next year, but he wasnt playing well enough this year to keep his place in our first team and didnt show enough from bits I have seen in reserves to earn his way back in

The only joke is us asking if Sav can play way after the agreement! "Alright Saints, we have been playing quite well since sav joined and won 4/5, dya mind him playing against you , potentially scuppering your chances of finishing the season with momentum and ahead of Wigan?" . I wonder why such a tempting offer was turned down.

I think that was last season, the club didn't know his best position this season and stalled his progression in the process.

I'm assuming somebody is watching AS quite closely to note how Cas seem to be getting the best out of him while we couldn't. It's either positioning, motivational or simply in his head, whichever it is needs fixing before he's dumped out.

Cunningham's job is to win. Taking players away from the opposition can only help that cause.

Savelio has been great for us.
He works really well running lines for Rangi down our right edge.
Nice footwork, good hands, runs good lines and solid in defence.
We'll keep him .

I think his beef with Saints is that he wants to play in the second row. That seems to be where he's playing at Cas.

He always did play second row until "he who knows all things" got hold of him.
