Cladding on the south stand







This picture shows that they have removed the X beams while they clad the stand. It then looks like they are putting them back afterwards.



In the foreground is a large roll of insulation, while in the background you can see the internal brickwork being done in the South stand



The insulation is being put underneath the stadium roof. There has also been roof cladding fitted so that this insulation is sandwiched between the outer waterproof membrane and the inner roof lining.



This picture clearly shows the installation of the air conditioning system within the south stand and also the commencement of a suspended ceiling



Looking at the eastern away terrace you can see that lots of brickwork has been carried out. you can also start to see were toilets and bars will be fitted. A suspended ceiling also appears to be in the process of being constructed.









Moving on to the North stand and the concrete floor appears to now be complete, and is joined up to the East stand corner which is also fully concreted



Work on the pitch continues. In the background you can also see where the outer cladding has been fitted above and to the sides of the police control box and PA box. This cladding is above the insulation cladding



This picture further illustrates the outer cladding, and also shows that the glazing units for the executive suites are being fitted. Eagle eyed people may also be able to notice what appear to be interior neon lighting within the south stand



Behind the north stand work continues on the storm water attenuation tank. This is a really large tank that will hold a lot of water.



The roof between the corner of the North and west stand has also now been fitted.



The west stand brickwork continues to rise and looks about 10 feet off the ground now



moving onto the Tesco side and the ramp to the pedestrian bridge is highly visible as are all the car park markings



The entrance road from the linkway has now been fully tarmac'd and you can see the mini roundabout at the bottom.
I understand construction vehicles have already started using this entrance

Finally, i also spotted that they have started cladding the corner of the South and West stands

walked along the railway at the back of the stadium this morning, looks like the hole in the wall gang have been holed up there for years, anyway there is an awful lot of land that could be developed along there not counting the old railway, Warrington old road could easily be opened up to the fingerpost arm of the link road.

Fabulous shots CM and Grunt. It's getting harder and harder to see inside the stadium now but at the same time it's great knowing that there is real progress happening. It's all very exciting! Can't wait to jump up and down on my spot in the West Stand!

Looking great. I just hope that we can develop a team worthy of playing in it.

It would be ironic, wouldn't it, if after having a great team playing in a rubbish ground we then went on to have a rubbish team playing in a great ground?

What a ridiculous quote. What have we got now? 4th in the table or bottom of Championship Div 1?

No guarantees we'll finish 4th this season. Ultra important we are doing well next year IMO. It could make a huge difference to our average attendances and income levels.

If we do what a lot of teams have done and drop off further and end up mid table it could knock 4 or 5 thousand off the average, you know how fickle and non-supporting the Saints supporters are.

We need a feel good factor to kick us on.

when is the new bridge due to be assembled? I seem to remember reading it was coming in two pieces and slotted together on a weekend.

the notice on the bridge site said that the pilings were going in in June so it looks like that bit is behind schedule

I'm sure someone posted on here recently that it's all behind schedule, by about three weeks?

That would be me, they was 2 weeks behind when I was in there about 4 weeks ago.

What's the estimated completion date now?
