I'm getting a little narked off with rouges constant derailing of threads. Again and again he pops up with his bigoted views on saints and changes the direction of a thread completely.

It's pathetic and for a man of his alleged age he should know better unless it's all he enjoys now adays.

If this was the Wigan forum he would have been banned a long time ago. I applaud our mods toleration levels compared to the cherry and White mob but the time has come, enough is enough. Use your super Internet powers and do something about it!

Ah just give him as good as you get. If you read the trends in his posts you'll see he's just a saddo who thinks he's being clever quoting reams of stats. The idle hands of someone with nowt better to do.

The real sad bit for me is that he thinks he's smart. He could actually engage n some reasoned debate if he wasn't so busy winding up young kids on here.

He's already said he enjoys Rogues trolling so I wouldn't expect much to change really!

But apparently Leon went off in a lot of pain after about five minutes so my guess would be that the five weeks suggested as being recovery time will be a minimum rather than a maximum. He's clearly got a problem and we clearly can't rely on him. Still, good game time for Gaskell. We will get to see what he is made of.

Oh, great stuff. So now we have a disinterested Ea$tmond playing alongside an inexperienced players in the halves for (at least) a few more weeks. I'm struggling to remember why I was ever optimistic about this season!

As an extremely new mod, i see two ways of moderating. Either ban everyone who trolls, alot like cherry and white used to be, or let people have their say and discuss the matter, like adults. The great thing about RL fans is that you can discuss things and have friendly banter with fans from other clubs

I've only seen the highlights of our match in France, but Gaskell looks like he's making good progress, week on week. In France he made a great break, followed by a 50m run before being caught, and offered a terrific pass which began a series of passes ending in a try. He is alert to dropped ball and the like and works hard in defence. While he may be inexperienced, the only way he stops being inexperienced is by gaining experience. Pryce is not going to be a part of the team for some time yet, if at all this season, and so now is the time for Gaskell to make his mark. He has a great opportunity. Let's hope he takes it and excels.

It's good to see that you have a common sense approach to issues like this and I think you'll find most sensible posters (of which I am one) agreeing with you. However just don't ignore what's plainly an issue to a lot of people as there's actually an irony in your post - the thread was indeed about Leon's injury until this certain poster, who is the subject of many people's ire, made the comment which actually derailed the thread. If you are honest it happens more often than not.

I am not of such an extreme view that he should be banned - just 'encouraged' to stop being silly and rendering what is usually informed debate (and disagreement at at times) into the utter childishness that goes beyond the banter you describe.

I guess it's about consistency. And fairness.

I hope he takes the chance too, there's really nothing better than seeing someone from the youth acedemy lighting up super league!
I'm just not too confident that he can shine, especially playing alongside Kyle whilst he's trying to gain his experience..

It'll be a while before we know whether he can 'shine' but having an important role in two tries and already having scored tries and showing a kicking game and defending well ... these are surely good signs from a newbie at that level?

Well I haven't see the highlights of the game last night yet, are they grouped with the Wire v Leeds highlights on Sky? Because I recorded that last night in the hope that it would include our game too, nothing on the synopsis about us though.

Maybe I shouldn't have commented before I saw that game, but against Warrington, his handling was shocking in the 2nd half. He did show promise in the 1st though.

Yes, the highlights of our game are on after the Wire-v-Leeds game. He dropped the ball in the first half apparently, but so did Roby (twice!) and I think Wilkin. But he looked good for the tries and also for his 50m sprint. Hard to say beyond that without seeing the whole match. I would imagine what is important at this stage for him is to improve week on week. Last week it wouldn't have helped that he had a non-existent halfback partner when we were being battered up front. All good experience for him though.

And in doing so you allow people to derail threads. Marvellous.

This season is far from a write off! As someone has stated allready our top 17 are one of the best in Super League with probably the best forward pack in the League. One bad performace (Warrington Away) and people are throwing the towel away allready. Great comeback against Wigan, a comprensive win at Salford and a great display on Saturday away at Catalan. This season is on in a big way for us if we can get Leon Pryce and Kyle Eastmond fit and firing on all cylinders.
