Tolouse played Widnes tonight so they too could have some tired bodies. Don't know if they picked up any injuries though. I think we can muster up enough players to see them off.

I was acknowledging Eastmonds talent on here many years ago. I did have doubts (from good sources) about his application.

Being unable to jump has nothing to do with being a winger. Some people can jump; others can't. He clearly can't. He hasn't done so yet. So he needs to change his game to compensate for it.


Wheeler is a great player. He just can't jump.

When Dixon & Ashurst fill out (between 12-18 months) they'll both be immense. And we have Magennis as an insurance policy. Throw in Wilkin, Clough, Flannery, Puletua and perhaps Dean and you've got a) the best and b) most competitive back row in SL.

Not really too sure about that myself....

O'Loughlin, J Tomkins, Hansen, Bailey, Mossop, Liam Farrell, Tuson, and then Hock to come back mid next year.

Joel Tomkins and Mossop are the only two quality players in that list.

Whereas only Tony P is the only quality player in Mugwump's list.

You obviously have a clouded judgement if you dont see O'Loughlin is a quality player. Hock was the most devastating back row forward in the league before his ban although it remains to be seen what he'll be like when he returns. Also Hansen and Farrell all over Dixon and Ashurst in my opinion.

Have to say, O Loughlin is having a great season.

Dont rate Joel Tomkins though and Mossop is still work in progress.

Them young kids they're rubbish them. We need Long, Sculthorpe, Martyn, and Murphy back. Them other teams are great, even if we are ahead of most of 'em in the league. What we need is 20 current Kangaroo internationals and Benji Marshall to play for us, with Jack Gibson as coach (that Potter is gash)

A little harsh IMO - It will depend on what shape he has kept himself in - TBH I could easily see him taking a good half a season to get back to match fitness and get used to playing again - maybe he will be loaned out by the pies on a dual registration to get some proper match practice in.

He'll do his bit. He may even play a few good games. But two years away from any sport often blunts a player's edge.

If he gets near the England team I'd be astonished.

Maybe - I can see him having some trouble getting back to International level though if for no other reason the politics ...

I dont know if Wigan have said anything on the matter yet but I'm not even sure he's been offered any kind of deal yet when his ban runs out. I know he's not allowed to do anything Rugby related at all at the moment but I'd imagine he'd be a free agent so there's no saying he would be back in Cherry and White at all ..
