He was already at parra and playing fullback when DA turned up. What did DA do? Put him at stand off. It was only when Hayne and his team mates told DA to stop playing him there that he switched him back to fullback.

Hayne was 'languishing' in the reserves because the previous coach didn't think he would make it at first grade but Anderson played him at fullback and his career has taken off since.

this is not really true!! Hayne has been playing fullback as well as centre and wing for a good few years!! he was playing on the wing in origin last season and the season before!! Reserve graders dont play origin!! It is fair to say hayne lost his way a bit toward the back end of last season but played for Fiji at fullback in the world cup and was awesome!! Ando moved him to stand off at the start of the year and had him trying to play like pryce did as a runner apposed to a ball player. finch and hayne at 6 and 7 didn't work out finch left hayne moved into the centre and then to fullback!! Haye had a great origin on the wing and then kicked on for his club at full back!!

I think ando defo needs credit for getting the best out of hayne and the parra team!! Because if they were doing crap he would be the first to cop it!!

Im sorry, but you cant credit DA for whats happened at Parra. They were awful, fans were calling for DA's head and the luckily for him, Hayne woke up and singlehandedly dragged them to the lofty heights of 8th on the back of 7 successive man of the match awards.

Well, since I took League Express or League Weekly (which ever one it was that reported it) as being accurate then I can't say anything further since I was just reading what the press was telling me.

It was also reported in those same papers that Daniel Anderson was under pressure at one point. However, regardless of how Hayne came to be playing at fullback, I think credit is due to Daniel Anderson not only for playing him there but also for sorting out the defence (unless you're now going to tell me that the RL press was inaccurate on that score also!) and doing whatever he has done to get the best out of what you said was formerly a difficult player (referring to your comment about his attitude). Over here Anderson was reputed to be a good man manager, which I think is a vital component of coaching.

I don't know who you support and therefore I don't know your agenda for being on here but I do know that our guys responded well to Daniel Anderson. So you can call him all you like, we had three and a half great years under him. He's missed by many just now and I hope he goes really well over there.

DUde, I posted my opinion, an opinion shared by pretty much all the para fans about their resurgence from their shocking start. Its not my fault you disagreed. Yes, DA did well at Saints, no denying that, but hes not the messiah of rugby league you make out.

I'm not making him out to be a messiah. That's just a stupid thing to say. I'm saying he did well for us. And I have no idea what the Eels fans think. You clearly aren't one of them so you're word isn't to be taken seriously! However, I will read the English RL press with greater skepticism from now on when it comes to reports from down under.

Aye crap wasn't he took them to there first ever play off series in 01 and then NRL grand finalists in 02. Not to mention he was coach of the year that season.

I was talking about man management skills not his achievment there as a coach. Its well known he was hated there and Wiki basically told the owners it was either him or DA and we all know who won that battle.

I've no idea about any player revolt but if they hated Anderson it may have been their problem and not Anderson's. Who is to say? You weren't there; you only have reports to go on, same as us had we heard about it. I don't care anyway. That's history. He came here and changed things for the better and whether our guys hated him or not, they sure as hell responded well to him and seemed happy to play for him. Which is not the impression they are giving at present.
