On the virtual tour on the Stadium Website the four corners of the stadium are not filled in with seats?

Yet these pictures of the stadium being built have what looks like seating/terracing going around the corners?

Anyone clarify

Two of the corners will be blank IIRC.

One corner is housing the big screen.

Has the old groundsman from KR being kept on to maintain the pitch or has the job been tendered out to a contractor. Any idea on pitch dimensions, much distance from the pitch to the nearest fans? Of course undersoil heating but will the pitch be all natural or have some 'weave'...lol..just curious

I think the groundsman from KR is being employed at our new place (based on something I read somewhere but I can't remember where!); no idea about pitch dimensions but I assume they will be whatever the standard is (if there is one); hoping a lot that we will be close to the action as that was one of the things that made KR so good (the new stadium will be enclosed, though, so that should help create an atmosphere); no undersoil heating so far as I'm aware. You think we are rich or sommat?

Playing field

Rugby league is played on a rectangular grass field 68m wide and 100m long. The recommended minimum around the field is 3m (preferred 5m). The goal posts are 16m high and 5.5m wide. The crossbar is 3m high from the ground to the top of the bar. The in-goal areas measure 68m wide and between 6m–11m long. It is recommended that the bottom 2m of the uprights are padded.

I imagine there will be a H&S style couple of metres wide of track around the edges so the players challenging for a ball in goal have less chance of colliding with the advertising.

that is a surprise, you'd think it a given that undersoil heating a minimum for a new 'best in RL' stadium. I suppose with no other sports of any significance playing during the winter months it wasn't cost justified? Saying that with the money you tapped the council for you might have gone the whole hog...lol Hope you aint gonna scrimp on some decent bogs, it was my fave part of KR being an avid amateur social historian

I'm friends with the assistant groundsman and frequently speak to him in turks/sporties
and right now he's a labourer on the ground but when the new ground is built, he regains his position as assiant groundsman, so i think it's fair to say they'll also have the same groundsman

pictures look fantastic....I counted 7 cranes on there last week, so they are literally throwing it up...also i hear the Tesco is due to be open in July...Amazing really when you think about it.

HJ was the same... seemed to take ages before you saw anything, but as soon as all of the ground works were done, it flew up..

God I wish you would get over it...It's just a stadium, it aint even that nice.

Because petrol costs too much so I rode my Giraffe over there to save money and I was showing my support by flying my Saints flag from his neck , Really guys I wish you would keep up!!
