I find this talk of the tide turning quite funny. This in another trophyless season (lost count how many it is now), another year of wanting their coach sacked mid season and a season of reaching the dizzy heights of 6th, thus just scraping into the top half of the table. On top of all that, no more new signings apparently for next year.

2010 will be the end of their transitional period. Just like 2009 was, and 2008, and 2007 and.....

TBH there's a good possibility the envy o meter will hit red again next year. Taking a look over the lump.... Hoffman decided 1 year was enough (to be replaced with a drugy with anger management issues and approx 2 braincells) , Maguire's gone to be replaced by an extra from planet of the apes, Tomkins 'the life long Wigan (sorry Warrington) fan who had no interest in Union has jumped ship to Sarries. the other more talented tomkins has just had a massive pay rise by all accounts to keep him 'loyal'. Add in the top class signing of a guy Hull didnt want and it all looks quite amusing.

You know, I know and everyone knows that the year to which you are referring Wigan did NOT break the salary cap, they did NOT pay their players over the £1.65 million unlike some other clubs.

They were NOT found guilty of breaking the salary cap were they?

err yes. Your team cheated to bring in players to get you out of a relegation scrap knowing the worst case would be a fine and maybe a points deduction a year later when it probably wouldnt matter. It was a premeditated blatant cheat and if we had a decent governing body in charge of the game you would have been playing a year in the second division ... again

I bet we see you on here more often next year spouting bitter biased cr@p when you get bored of watching world class stars like Gil Dudson, Ben Flower and Lauaki (for the 5 minutes he'll manage) in your rented home, bet you cant wait.
