LMS is going from utterly useless to a legend in two weeks. What a turnaround from him. That punch was just brilliant. I'm sure the RFL will dig that out and ban him for 3 weeks, but what a way to stamp your authority all over a situation. Sacre bleu Monsiour Simon. The GOB hit knocked us out of our stride a bit, but the boys stuck in when the French pressed our line and to only concede 6 in France is bloomin brilliant.

Swift was very good returning kicks and he was absolutely blisteringly quick on the free play were he kicked ahead and chased.

Turner did a lovely pass for Makinsons try in the first half then completely blows a try by being greedy and going himself when a simple pass to Tommy would have seen him go in at the corner.

With regard to the fighting I think the ruling is that if your sin binned for the offence then you cant get a ban, as in effect you have already served your punishment. So that lovely upper cut from LMS on the French forward will hopefully not garner further punishment.

Lomax doesn't look match fit and it was noticeable that he barely returned the ball all evening. Instead leaving it to Makinson and Swift.

Big concern for me is the lack of alternative kickers.

With his two tries I think Wello now needs just one point for a thousand in his career.

I was only listening but overall our performance sounded pretty damned good and to once again win with our only recognised halfback lost during the game and with a player binned to boot was pretty good going, especially in the sweltering heat. The players must be totally knackered as that game seemed to go on for ever!

I personally love a bit of fighting at a game, but I know not everyone agrees.
However, during the terrible times over the last few seasons, we've looked like a team that wouldn't put them selves about and, if there was trouble, stick up for each other.
LMS looked good today and showed he's not a man that will take any (today at least). That's what props are supposed to be.

Agreed. He always seems to take his time playing the ball after being tackled and isn't as involved as he was in the Wire game earlier in the season, for example.
