Not bagging him and without his kicks we'd struggle but IMO the last half of last year, the friendly game and today he's become a liability under the high ball.

Meli got a huge amount of stick for his problems with kicks but foster ain't any better.

In my honest opinion he has got caught up in all his hype and stop performing on the pitch.

Not sure if anyone here is posting via mobile device but how anyone can form a judgement on the game or player performances without actually 'seeing' the game is beyond me. And please nobody use the radio commentary as defence as the last 8 pages have gone on about the poor nature of it.

Spoke to mates on the phone who ate there and had txts during the game as well.

He made two mistakes off kicks which resulted in two tries, he dropped 3/4 kicks against Widnes and had trouble in the 2nd half of last season.

He openly admits he's not dealing with kicks.

It's actually very easy to if you listen to more than one source and cross reference them. It helps understanding the game and the players too.

Apparently Gary Wheeler was injured although whether he played on or what I don't know. Anyone else know?

Also, it seems Royce isn;t happy with our kicking game and thinks we have 'a few areas to work on' which is exactly what I would expect after the first game of the season!

I'd very much like him to work on reorganising that left edge, which is a leaky sieve.

Each is entitled to their own opinion but I personally don't believe I can make my own 'informed' decision on today's game or player performances without seeing it with my own eyes. I have mates who are there but even if we stand next to each other every week we have differing views of players & what they did / did not do.

All I'm saying is that without seeing it for yourself then comments will always be open to the subjective nature of other individuals.

Plenty of teams will be beaten by London at the Stoop this year, so I'm just happy we've gt the two points. Sounds like it was a scrappy performance, but on day one of the season in sub-zero temperature that seems fairly understandable.

Would take a win whatever the performance today. London won quite a few games against us at the start of the season so happy the team have come away with 2 points.

Was mentioned late in the game that he was getting treatment, but then the ever reliable ray French mentioned something about his boot. He will probably miss next weeks game with a loose stud or snapped lace.

Gutted I missed today's game and can't wait for Friday.

Perhaps it's more a confidence issue? Just because he is a Flash Harry, doesn't mean he's not confident when a kick comes to him

LMS did have a break in the second half
Personally did not think foster had that bad a game for you lot
Kicking game was not the best, we gifted you the ball a couple of times from kicks though even from poor kicks
Lomax and Roby the difference today
LMS had to contend with Kauffusi and could not dominate

I think Royce is judging the lesser of the two evils.

Having no recognised (dead cert) goal kicker is a greater liability than Foster dropping the odd ball or 2 or 3 or 4. I reckon it is a confidence thing, needs plenty of catching practice.

I just hope his poor catching isn't something that sticks with him like it has Meli and plenty other wingers.

Some players just can't catch high balls, no matter how much they practice. I just hope Jamie takes a few kicks next week and his confidence grows.

Only a few season ago we were lamenting the lack of a good goalkicker and now we have one,ok he may of dropped a couple today,but in wintery conditions its going to happen,over the course of a season he will score far more points than he costs us.Every player makes mistakes just the mistakes the back 3 make are more visible to everyone.

Who would people put on the wing to replace him and why ?

I've not read all the posts on this thread but from what I've read, I've not seen anyone mention or call for him to be dropped.

Chill out, sit back and read the posts before posting, nobody wants him dropped.

It's a simple fact he's struggling on kicks and it needs sorting out, as we know more than anyone, dropped kicks can lose big games, ask Meli.

It maybe he's not getting enough protection even but whatever it is, we need to fix it ASAP for the sake of Jamie and the team.
