Does anyone suspect that Wane is targeting the Saints game to save his job? Wigan have a tough couple of weeks ahead were they could potentially lose all 3 games. Lose to saints and he may face the chop or if he loses all the games running up to saints and then beats saints his job could be safe for a few more weeks?

Well I'm glad you won last years final just a tiny percent more now.

Its a more important fixture than the others, in terms of pressure, that's for sure. A derby win is the best single thing after silverware, really, so a win gives the fans something to smile about. Conversely, not playing well and you don't perform on Good Friday, then fan pressure ramps up considerably.

Is it a coincidence that Walsh is due back about then? Personally I wouldn't risk him, the Goons would go out of their way to injure him again, and the ape would quite happily send out one of his fools to play the Flower role again, to him, that would be a success.

Having said that although I've enjoyed some of his comments in the past they are becoming a little tedious and repetitive so maybe he should find other areas of conversation and analogies when talking to the press.

Does he actually think they are the team to beat? I think a lot of teams at the minute think they are there for the taking.

It's pretty embarrassing and this desperate attempt shows that he is under pressure. A derby defeat would be horrific for them so he's certainly targeting that game as a chance to turn their season around from the Middle 8s to the top 8.
