Its Saints pack power vs Wigans back power imo

Whoever does the best at stopping the other teams strength will win it imo. Its going to be a classic battle

Of course we can win on Saturday. We have the talent to win and we have the ability to win. However, so have the Pies. I should think this is probably the hardest to call Grand Final that I can remember. Luck, refs decisions, performance, injuries, errors, team effort ... they will all play a part. But I've no doubt at all that we have what it takes to win it.

The way I see it is that it is all dependant on Saints' long kicking game.

If we kick deep and well, then with our forwards I honestly see it being Saints' to lose. We have all watched Sinfield win the Grand Final on his own against us with a good long kicking game and it is vital we do the same to Wigan on Saturday. If we do, I simply cant see Wigan getting the field position to score enough points on us. I dont buy the whole issue of Saints scoring points on them. We can score against absolutely anybody.

It comes down to our kicking game for me.

They will target our kickers but surely that's what we will do to them also. Having Smith and even Wilkin who is a fair kicker when he needs to be we will not be short of a kicking game. Our forwards I think edge theirs. We have got Soliola back now who missed the previous Wigan games. I hope someone has told him what he needs to do in a derby game. Hope they tell him it's as important to us as State Of Origin.

Wigan had five kickers practising today kicking the ball at the crossbar. Tomkins, Piggy, Mickey Mac, Pat and Lockers.

Only Lockers missed, in fact Shaun Wane beat him in the contest.

Saints have a great chance if the forwards perform to their potential. We're stronger up front than Wigan and we need to show it this Saturday.

No reason why we cant win it. Just hope some of the pie players get a bit nervous with it being their first final, the majority of the saints team has tasted final glory or final rugby recently so hopefully that counts for something. I think we can do it, just be good to see us pin them in their own half for each set, get a great kicking game in and make them come full length every time...Leeds did it to us twice and it worked a treat for them.
