I am totally fed up with all this fiasco now. Just wish the RFL would announce another venue for the Saturday and get on with it. In my eyes Wigan W. have lost the home advantage by not being able to fulfill the fixture at the time they have been given. Why should everyone have to wait at the beck and call of DW. Oh. yes it's Wigan Rugby they do what they want. For god's sake get on with it RFL and announce somewhere for it to be played.

Fully agree the RL should just ask one simple question as they have had ample time "Can you play the match on Saturday"
If yes fine lets get it on?
If No then fine the match will now be played at Langtree Park

Saints should kick up a fuss about this. It's next weekend isn't it? How are we supposed to plan for that when they can't even decide which rent-a-ground they will be using?

On Tuesday evening it was on the BBC website that the game would be played on Saturday 12 May at 2.30PM with the venue to be announced.

I have since been told that the kick off and the day cannot and will not be moved and it is up to Wigan to arrange a [isuitable[/i venue.

This is a massive game for the club and whether it is at Wigan,Widnes, Warrington, Bolton, Old Trafford, we have to be focussed and determined to win.

My gut feelign is that we would have more chance at DW because if Wigan have to move, they will use it as a motivation to show that they can beat us anywhere and this is a big worry for me.

Saturday afternoon match.....Terrestial TV....Ninth or tenth derby this season (!) ..... that should mean about fourteen thousand will be nearer the mark. Any of the sensible alternatives (Saints, Widnes, Warrington, Leiigh) will therefore be just about right.

Saints have confirmed that it will be played on the Saturday with a 2.30pm KO the venue will be announced later today.

So long as it's the Wigan players and management that lose focus, I could not care less. As far as Saints are concerned they know we are playing wigan so they have no need to get involved in this. Just leave it to us fans to have our fun, whilst they work their butts off to get ready next week.

B4:20 Subject to Operational Rule B4:16, and unless otherwise provided for under the format of the
Cup, the Club drawn first in the ballot shall have the choice of ground and:
(a) it may request to play at an alternative ground, including the ground of the opposing
Club with that Club's consent; but
(b) no Club shall request or pay or make or offer to make or accept or agree to accept any
monetary or other consideration (excluding the normal share of gate revenues) for
choosing any ground;
and =#FF4040any proposed alternative choice of ground shall be notified to the Chief Executive no later
than 10 days prior to the date of the Cup Tie concerned and he shall decide and notify the
Clubs in writing within 48 hours of his decision as to whether or not to approve such request,

Operational Rule or breaks its terms, it shall be guilty of Misconduct.

10 days was yesterday, so the rentboys should have informed the RFL yesterday where the game is to be played, and the RFL will inform Saints tomorrow at 14:30 where the game is played.

I guess Maths and English weren't your strongest subjects.

In the rules it says within 48 hours not necessarily the full 48 hours. So we could hear today or tomorrow.

Still can't believe the venue hasn't been announced by the rent boys - talk about rugby league being a joke, makes our game a laughing stock!

Ive not read this thread fully but I think it's embarrising that any club can't play at home due to them renting a stadium.

I think it's about time the RFL gets this situation sorted as its bound to pop up again in coming years.

FFS the game is next Saturday and will still don't know where the games at, that IMO is totally shocking!

Had to laugh while listening to Nigel Wood on Radio Manchester. When asked about the Saints v Wigan game all he could say was - 'We are waiting for Wigan to tell us where it is to be played' They are all as bad as each other it has become a shambles.
