| Just reading a new document thats been added to the councils planning application.
It concerns the archaelogical works which need to be done.
It however gives a proper construction timeline.
8th November commencement of remediation Work (this is removing contaminants, draining land etc)
13th December commencement of ground improvements for construction phase ( suspect this is leveling the site, landscaping etc)
24th January commencement of Piling operations ( Piling is done for the foundations, it usually involves lots of concrete)
Completion of construction October 2011.
From this timeline then we wont start to see the stadium rise until February 2011.
The details above are contained on page 12 of word doc on condition 50 and 51 Archaelogical evaluation trenching and desk based assessment

Apparently they're looking at doing a webcam / diary of the progress soon.

| there is very little of the warehouses left standing now
what is left is one wall and four gable ends all asbestos.
there dosent looks like there is any hurry to knock these down, all the bricks looked to have been crushed, there is now tons of concrete from the floor of the warehouses piled up, waiting to be crushed.

Does the mentioned October completion date include any anticipated problems or delays due to weather etc?
Do the RFL need to have an advanced assurity before season starts that the ground will 100% be open & ready for paying punters, if so what is the deadline? With a bit of luck you might get it signed off in time for your boxing day game.

I can't see why they should. We are no longer a club with a fictional paper stadium. There is tangeble evidence that our new home is on the way.

I doubt it for the weather etc as you will never know, completetion times are only guides and can change at any point due to almost any reason, thats a given in the construction industry.
As for the RFL deadlines, I think the RFL would be less concerned about completion dates within even a year and more interested in seeing proof of funding etc...

What gruntfuttock should do is revisit that site every year after the stadium is built and show the tree growing, with the stadium in the background.

Perhaps all that staring at piles of rubble is getting to the poor guy.

| I think I may have lost some IQ points through some of the negativity from earlier in the thread , and Saints Fan should be happy there ARE piles of rubble to stare at seeing as they were so unhappy with the warehouses

Oh I [iam[/i very happy with the piles of rubble. I had lost hope that we would ever see them! I'm dead excited, me! Can't wait to see what happens next, assuming the contractors don't build one of those wooden walls around the site and so stopping you from taking your fab photos.
