| Poorly. He isn't taking the line on at all which is causing mass hatred of him on the terraces. Mind you, with the attack so flat and lifeless I wouldn't do it either as it's a hiding to nothing. He cannot be blamed for the team's failure so far this season, but he is.
He plays like a young kid who knows he isn't wanted and wants to do as little as possible to get it out of the way.
If our season continues like it is I can see a compromise being reached and his departure being accelerated. However it would only take on or two good performances from the team for the situation to be forgotten.

| he certainly appears to be trying to accelerate his move to union. He could have said nice things about league in that interview..... he tried his best to come across as an honest guy. It didn't work though. he just came across as a twát that had bitten the hand that feeds.
i hope he never comes back to league with his tail between his legs.

I hope he does. Despite not handling his move well at all he is still unquestionably the most talented scrum half England has produced in at least 15 years and we're not likely to ever see him reach his potential. He could have been a true great in our game.

no denying that... the problem is that he is a bit of a 'nob'
the thing here is that i know 2 saints players from my chilhood.... they are both very well known.... i played with them for years... they made it.. i didnt...im 34 now...i still see them both though on a regular basis.
they say he is the best player they have seen in years.... but he is also a 'complete tw*t'
they think saints will be a much better prospect once he has gone and he has been replaced with a 'proper rugby league player'.

| Kyle Eastmond temperament reminds me of Tricky Trindall who didn't, last long at Saints.
I,ve given Kyle some slack due his injury problems, don,t know whats inside his head but it's looks as though his league career is finishing sooner than later.
His lack of direction is making the team like a clutch of headless chickens.

Most talented scrumhalf englands produced in last 15 years! Are you being serious?
I agree he's got huge potential but potential is all he's got and we will never know just how good he could be.
He's not in the same league as Sean long or bobbie goulding. He's not even as good as rob burrow!

| Stating the obvious I know but you need Leon back and fast. He is now to you what Lee has been to us over the years.
As we all know over the years you have had such great players that if Leon had been injured four years ago then you would have easily coped but now he is your only go to player, or at least the only go to player who is interested.
I have read on here that Leon is out for two months if this is true then you may not have a season left for him to return to.

I was going to say bobby goulding, but then I realised that he said 15 years and now I just feel old.
The Kyle that opened the season last year had much more to his game than Long did at the same age, and arguabley more than Burrow does now.

He's got a better passing and kicking game than Long at this stage in his career (and possibly has now, especially passing), he's got a better running game than Goulding ever had even now in his early years. He's a better passer and kicker than Burrow.
What he hasn't got is the experience all the other three had/have to enable him to make the right decision at the right time.

Kyle Eastmond, and before that, Sean Long. Playing a young lad out of position and then sodding him off to Widnes in exchange for an overhyped prop does not equal 'producing' in anyone's world (except those who tout Wigan supporting kids from the age of 3 as future England stars, of course).

Lee Briers broke into our side as a 7 and is an excellent half back.

| And to be fair, we've not had to produce any half backs as we've been fairly consistent in the last 15 years in the halves. Martyn and Long were our halves for long periods, then Sculthorpe and Long and then Pryce and Long. We then produced Eastmond to replace Long.

geez mate, seriously, he's almost played a good couple of games for Saints, that's about it, he certainly made a big impact when he first broke into the first team but since then he's struggled off the injury table, every time he goes down he looks like he's struggling to get up.
A talent he is but consistently good he is not.

Don't believe the hype!

...its also a little known fact that Brett Kimmorley, Andrew Johns, Cooper Cronk and Jonathan Thurston were all products of the Saints Academy early in their careers.
