At last someone agrees with me! Ive been bagged for two years for saying this guy is rubbish.

Im just waiting for the posts that say he does 30 tackles a game and runs good lines.

Oh and he played well one time at leeds in the cup.

He was really bad tonight.

When you look at the hunger of their forwards, you can't afford to carry someone like this who just looks so casual.

Andrew Dixon was fantastic however.

Wilkin is a big time charlie who's living off one good game he had against leeds about 4yrs ago.

He is no better than clough, dixon, ashurst or mageenis but i bet he earns mote than all them put together.

IMO he's just not goos enough and is a waste of a top wage on our salary cap.

Dixon was very good tonight.

Tony p and robes was also pretty good.

Wigan's forwards want to rip you apart and hurt you, like a pack of animals. So so aggressive and enthusiastic.

Wilkin for me is an example of a player who simply can't match that level of aggression and enthusiasm.

But we shouldn't forget that he also does a lot of good things on a weekly basis and is well respected by his teammates.

He runs good lines

Wilkin has been poor all year. He needs a serious kick up the or needs shipping out.

He was fantastic in 2006 - not so since.

What really wrecks my head is that wilkin ain't played well since 2006 yet still gets big wraps evry year.

Wilkin had a decent game tonight. He was the most affected by the defeat and at least got stuck in.

He's rubbish mate.

No he's not. He was better than the likes of Lomax, Flannery, Gidley, Wellens, Roby, Cunningham (Who was awful), Hargreaves, Soliola (Who cost us the game) etc.

There are more areas in the team to pick at before you get to Wilkin's ability levels. We need a fullback, two wingers, a centre and a scrum half in particular...

He is a ok player but he will be on a good wedge and is no better than the likes of dixon, ashurst, clough and magennis.

He's a grafter and nothing more.

Thought he was chronic tonight. No pace, no ideas.

There were two worse players than him tonight though:
1. Flannery. Got to be the slowest player on the pitch when the goons scored their third try he had made a tackle but couldn't be arrised getting up - he just stayed on the floor while the rest of the team were trying to get the defensive line sorted.Then they scored.
2. Meli "am I playng centre or wing? sod it I'll do something in between instead" followed by "who was that going past me"

Back to wilkin. He only got a bit better when he lost the plot over silverfool's increasingly bizarre decisions.

That about sums it up!

He's looked like Mr Average all year IMO.

He's not a Stand Off or Loose Forward.

He's an average 2nd rower, one that every team needs. Although of late, JW seems to be getting the attention of the referees.
