Its becasue we dont have to spend much on GB representative money, or big wedges on cup final winners money and posh suits and hotels etc etc... see being a boring team does have its rewards. Were rich....rich I tell you.

I'd rather keep the quota spot and cash in case its needed for injury, and not just buying someone for the sake of it. That said if i see fui fui moi moi in imperial on saturday i wont be upset

Interesting to note aswell, David Williams and Michael Robertson from Manly are currently out of contract.

Williams is quality and he's rapid.

And he can catch, so we will not be signing him

Can't see Saints bringing in a winger, while we currently have 2 under contract on decent amounts of money, no matter how bad people think they are. I wouldn't mind bringing one in for some compeition, however, they will use the youngsters for that.

I do think though, if we have the space on the cap to sign a quality player, we should be looking to bring one in, preferably a if there is someone available of the required quality.

I take it you haven't seen the NRL last season. He was $hite all year for Manly and even worse for NSW in Origin, if you think Gardner makes mistakes find some footage of Manly and Origin from last season and you'll see for yourself, it'll be like watching a faster version of Gardner but it's know good having a fast winger if he cant catch the ball.

Willie Mason? Been sent home from training til the end of the year and the Roosters have told him he can leave if he can find another job.

The is a lot of bad press for big willie mason but I think I'd take a chance on him.

If we could get him any where near his best then he would rip up super league up big time but it would be a gamble.

He's just sort of player we need if can stay out of trouble, he's massive, strong and puts himself about.

I've read on another forum that if Sonny Bill wants to come back to RL he could only sign for his old team as they hold the registration until 2012 or something like that.

And with how he walked out on them I'd think they wouldn't let him sign for anyone else just to get their own back.

Course they would. They only care about the NRL. If Saints or any other SL clubs offered them a nominal fee to play outside the NRL they'd accept it, much like Parramatta did with Jamie God.
