| Is some of our problem that we are not as fit and conditioned as we were?
Are we missing Perelini's influence?

to be honest I don't think we are any less fit than any other team.
We are defo a slow team which might be down to perelini going or could just be as players get older they get slower.
In Gardners case he has bulked up which may be why he lost his pace so maybe he been getting the wrong training.
It's basic skills that we have lacked this year like passing, line running, kicking and defo our last tackle play.

| Someone told me at the start of the season that the players were fed up with all the weight training they were doing under the new regime.

potter is starting to look very pi$$ed off in recent weeks. He is starting to show some emotion now with the odd swear word being said.

| As I said on another thread :
Quote Wilkin is now a lard a*se methinks, along side some of his colleagues.
As they say in goon town "who ate all the pies".
Where does Potter train them? McDonalds?
Fitness being going down hill since Apollo left. There is no real pace about the team which is one area we used to excel in. '"
Weights don't give you speed although it might explain some of the newfound "bulk" in the players physique!

Apollo wasn't just a trainer/fitness coach. He was THE fitness coach. The best in the league at that time.

We were the fittest side in the league until he left. But I can't prove that either. It's not measurable. This is a forum and not a law court!

We do look tired, we probably are, AP wouldnt make us look less tired is all I am saying, its jsut the rigours of a season of the team being pulled around in diff positions, chaps playing out of position etc etc...
Jammer isnt human, he is a transformer.

Or maybe it's a players revolt, the only way they can let vent any feelings, by not playing as a team anymore. Or is it that the rest of the league have watched and learned, how to play us and win. You decide, I know which I one I think it is.

| remember potters roots.
He came from the bradford school of coaching.
So plenty of weights, bulk and 5 dirves and a kick isn;t a suprise is it?
sadly, such methods work all too well when you have a strong?first choice pack.

Right, take 2 of the 3 main props out we have and lose our starting scrum half and both hookers and what would you do?

I do wonder what some Saints speccies demand they see? Only the best free-flowing rugby league week in, week out? Where a team have failed if they don't outscore their opponents by at least 60 points, with every member of the team scoring twice in an exhibition of majestic rugby league unseen on this Earth - nay, this Galaxy?
You could put Wayne Bennett, Craig Bellamy, DA, Phil Gould or the Messiah himself in charge of this Saints team but we won't win sh*t without Props or a settled half-back combination. Neither of which we've had for the majority of this season. As soon as the more intelligently challenged members of this board accept this, the better it'll be for the club, the fans, the youngsters trying their best and the coach trying his hardest in the face of a crippling injury list.
But hey, none of this matters when we can just [size=200 =blackBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO[/size the players for 80 minutes, does it? Because we're Saints fans and we demand perfection.
