| Flanagan really does need to lift his game. I understand that whilst Hohaia and Wilkin are out it's wise to have someone in the team who is flexible - but Flash really isn't offering a great deal.
Sure, as a last-ditch fifth-choice back-rower-cum-scrum-half he's probably better than nothing. But based on his recent performances he's not providing much even before that.

| Interesting to see Charnock in the fold! Regardless of the lack of anything flanagan offers, while we have 3 backrowers out he'll get a game. Assuming Walsh is starting and percy is on the bench as has been said:
Makinson
Fleming Ashworth Turner Swift
Burns Walsh
Amor Roby Walmsley
LMS Flanagan
Thomspon
Masoe Richards Savelio Percival

| Roby shouldn't be anywhere near the team right now. He was practically playing in a wheel-chair against Leeds. Any other squad member wouldn't have been risked.
It's one thing to play through the pain during the odd emergency. But lately Roby's only ever playing injured. Probably needs two trips to Dr. Feelgood before each game.

I don't know what all that means but I'm guessing your bagging flash. That's lomax and flash you've bagged now.

| Not all of our players can be SL stars such are the limitations of the salary cap. Flash does an honest, hardworking job. Like Dawson. Every club gets hammered with injuries and has to dip into their squad. Thankfully, we've got some good lads like Flash who can step in.

Highlighting Lomax's weaknesses (as well as his strengths) is no more "bagging" than it is to say James Graham will never make it as a full-back. As for Flash, I've offered an opinion on his usefulness to the team based on his recent performances. That's usually what people do on public message boards.
Given your private vendetta against Mose I'd think you'd be the last person to accuse others of criticising players.

You always have a favourite player to bag. For a few seasons it was Wilkin. You obsessed over him week in, week out. It's now Mosoe. I'm sure Wheeler got some attention from you too at some point, a player nearly always injured (he's disappeared from the line up at Warrington I notice). At least Mugwump spreads his largesse to appropriate players at appropriate times. Lomax is looking like his legs cannot cope with the game. That is unfortunate, it is sad, but if this injury is the final straw then he won't be the first to find his career curtailed by injury. As for Flash he worked hard last season and showed some great moments in attack but as yet he hasn't shown any of that kind of form.

Wrong. Again. I do not "bag" injured players for being injured. Being realistic about Lomax's chances - bearing in mind his style of play - after two serious knee injuries isn't "bagging". My criticism of Flash bears no resemblance to your criticism of Mose. For a start - I'll be quite happy to praise Flash should his form improve (as I - and it - did at the end of last season).

Let's put a few facts in the place of your lies.
I did bag Wilkin when he had about 4yrs of mediocre performances. It was notning personal as you suggested at the time but it was fact. Also, I thought he was our player of the year the season before last. Id say that's pretty fair verdict on a player.
I've never once bagged wheeler. I always backed him as injuries are unfortunate part of the game. I did say we shouldn't offer him a new deal last year which based on fact Ms it's a pretty fair assumption don't you think ?
I don't rate mose. He's lazy bone idle and lets his fellow team mates down every single week. He does no one on one tackles. He doesn't make anywhere near enough carries and his avg gain some weeks are laughable for a guy that's so big. He never helps Amor or big Alex out when we stuck in our 20m zone and undsr the pump. On many occasions he hasn't lasted 8 mins before having to be subbed and put on oxygen. I know you like him as he's the lovable samoan with a smile on his face but try telling that to our props when they busted after 80 mins and he walks off hugging any former NRL player he can find on the finsl hooter.
Don't like the facts get in the way of the truth tho girl

In his defence Pete was the first to come out and praise Masoe the other week after a particularly good performance. (Can't remember who it was against).

And where is Dixon now? If it was that much of a mistake, it would of come back to haunt us. The reality is flanagan, Dixon ashurst are all much of a muchness, and keeping one over the other is an irrelevance,
Greenwood in 5 games overtook all of them.

| Well looks like it's time to put the pop corn down.
Just as a matter of fact.
LMS
Vea out
Greenwood out
Wilkin out
Flash
So it could be argued that Flash is a 5th backrower and so who else can you play for this game?
It's not like we are picking him with a full backrow available

| To be honest, I'd prefer to give Mose more minutes and introduce another young three-quarter on the bench. With Lomax out for the season and backs dropping like nine-pins it's advisable to take the plunge sooner rather than later.
If Lomax is no longer viable at full-back we've either got to buy now for next season - or take the plunge with a junior now. It's no use promoting an academy lad during the run in when neither his interests nor ours are served.
We can't afford to wait and see on the full-back position - not least because all the best candidates will go in the next few months. Promoting next season just defers the acclimatisation process (which can take anywhere up to two or three years - depending on the age of the player) further down the line.

| Thinking on the topic for a moment, I don't see why we don't experiment with Mose from the start. Whilst I'm more than happy with our current strength in the forwards our pattern of play has largely been fixed since two thirds into last season.
We really don't want to become too rigid and - predictable. Teams watch the videos midweek and (sans injuries) know which of our players will be on the field at any particular juncture. A good coach can exploit predictable behaviour.
I'd much prefer our opponents being far less certain about who will be on the pitch and when. Besides, this takes a lot of the strain off guys like Amor who don't possess Mose's frame and are thus more likely to get knocked about when the big tackles go in early on.

| I get the impression that Cunningham is not happy with Masoe at all. The first sign of lazy play and he seems to be off the pitch for the rest of the half.

| If Mose's not pulling his weight I'm more concerned that Cunningham is continuing to pick him than anything else. We're not so hard up in the forwards that we have no choice but allow ourselves to be held hostage by anyone.
Either way - the amount of time Mose's spending on the pitch isn't currently doing us any favours. If his attitude is fine but he's under-performing than give him more game time. We know he can play extended periods. So why don't we?
If Mose's attitude isn't right then yank him out of the side. This is not a difficult problem to solve.

Might be experience, Cunningham is still a new coach. He's probably waiting for him to come alive and smash a few holes in the opposition. There's still plenty of people (like yourself) who defend Mose and Cumningham himself is Saints through & through & maybe could also have the Saints tinted glasses on?
Time is running out for Mose, thank god. He's about as much use as braille that says 'wet paint'.
