Is there any update on our sick notes? Perry appears to have disappeared, taken wheeler with him. Has the club been giving any sicky updates or have I just been missing them?

Saints said on Twitter that they're not giving timescales on injuries anymore but that both Perry and Wheeler are 'week to week.'

Must be a typo. Surely it's 'weak, too weak'.

Really feel sorry for Wheeler, but what can he, or we do? I watched the Saints/Leeds game again at the weekend and he was brilliant, but 10 or so games a season can't justify a career, can it?

Wheeler played in U20's last week, but not sure I would drop Jones for him as he has been very impressive imo. Perry is also expected to return this week from what I have heard with Wilkin and Magennis also back

so we have Perry, Wheeler, Magennis, foster, gaskell availiable its going to be tough picking the 19 let alone the 17

Me too. I feel sorry for Perry, as well, though I am probably (understandably) in a minority there. No professional player wants to be injured, he's had terrible luck while he's been here.

Wheeler will always get new deals at Saints purely because of the fear that he'll go elsewhere, never have another injury again, and fulfill his potential in someone else's colours. Saints know better than anyone what he's capable of.

Perry said in Sponsors lounge on Friday that he could have played but they were just being cautious with another week given last season's problems.

With all due respect to Wakefield I think that was the right decision.

Both Perry and Wheeler will be available for this week.

How is tp doing?

Still a few weeks yet. Can't really put a date on it as it all depends on his personal recovery.

We're missing Richards but other than that should be at full strength. Prescott hurt is back in training and wasn't risked against Ull KR, but should hopefully be back this week.

It should be a significantly stronger Wigan pack that takes to the field this week compared to when the sides last met.

Lower leg sustained at Cas easter monday, but he's back in training since last week.

I've given up on Wheeler now.

I spoke to a saints official last year before the playoff game against wigan and his opinion was that wheeler does not do enough to help himself recover from injuries. He used the term "not professional"......

I gave up on him many moons ago. He should never have got another contract.

This is his second injury in as many years that there doesn't appear to be a specified recovery time from. That doesn't happen very often. Most players are given an estimated time for recovery. Could be some mileage in what you say.

Rush has said publically that it is no longer the policy to give estimated times of recovery and return as he thinks this puts pressure on the player and the backroom staff.

Hmm... Playing devils advocate here, that could be to take the pressure of an underperforming physio team? Its not like every other sporting outfit in the world gives estimated return times.
