And Lomax isn't fit enough do we go with Moore, Wilkin or Roby in the halves?

A huge decision for Potter to make. I'd personally go with Moore at 7 I think. Decent kicking game and puts his shoulder in. Gives us essentially 7 forwards on the field for the opening skirmishes. I'm not sure we can afford to go with lomax who has had 3 weeks without rugby and I don't want Wilkin moving out of the forwards.

Smith at 7, Wilkin at 6 for me. Wilkin was better overall last night and while he's no halfback, he's used to playing at 6 now and we desperately need to be settled for next week. Potter changed too many people around last night just to facilitate a crocked Kyle (hope he is better and wowing us again next season) and to do that again for a Grand Final would be suicide.

Roby and Smith for me. Roby to just run and run, Smith to organise and handle the kicking. Scotty Moore on the bench.

Kyle should not be seen until Fenruary ( or a pre season freindly ), end of !

No point in playing Kyle.

He will just no doubt get injured again at some point, and in a Grand Final especially, you cannot waste a jersey.

Thats what i'd have picked last night and would pick next week. We could use roby as a extra forward and leave smith to run the team as he did when wilkin was at 6 against the wolves.

Wilkin is not a stand off in a million years but it worked against wolves as wilkin played as a forward leaving smith to do his thing.

Kyle and smith was a mistake in the halfs, both took a backseat and looked as tho they didn't wan't to step on each others toes.

Also just noticed soliola is in the team twice too. I'd have Gardener on the wing and soliola in the 2nd row.

Kyle is our first choice no.7. If Kyle is fit, he will be chosen as no.7 over everyone. But you can't have two number 7s on the pitch, as we found out on Friday and you acknowledged. However, Kyle hasn't been fit for weeks but Potter seems incapable of accepting that fact and so persists in playing him when he is unfit, causing untold problems to Kyle and the team, and much frustration to the fans. If Lomax was about to play in the Grand Final then that suggests he may well be fit. He may not either. Frankly, I don't trust Potter to make the right decision when it comes to fitness. But I think I suggested in my halfback pairing as having Wilkin with Smith again simply because we coped with that and it allowed Smith to do what he does best: organise and kick. Having an unfit first choice no.7 on the pitch with him was always going to cramp his style. But I'd happily go with Roby at 6, Smith at 7, and Moore interchanging with Cunningham. However, too much change - again- just before the Grand Final might not be such a good thing. Not that making unnecessary changes for a knock out match appears to bother Potter much.

I will say that I don't want Kyle anywhere near the pitch on Saturday. I would love to see Lomax at 6 if he is really and truly fit. And I want to see Smith at 7 so he is allowed to play his game, which we may well be very grateful for come the end of the match.

I'd play Lomax if he struggles at half back play him elswhere and juggle things a bit as been suggested above

He's got great talent and could make a big impact. Interesting that he was pulled from the u21 final. I'd be surprised if he doesn't play.
Better than playing Kyle who is definately struggling for fitness and his game really relies ib his speed rater that football ability.

I rate lomax pretty high but i think it's a big risk playing him at stand off in the grand final, he's not player first team rugby for a month and not played at stand off to often anyway.

I'd play roby at 6 and smith at 7, use roby as a free role and let smith run the team. We did ok with wilkin at and smith at halfback against the wolves so i'd expect the roby and smith combo to work.

Smith and Lomax in the halves for me, if Lomax isn't fit enough I reckon Potter will go with Moore.
