| As a bitter ( ) Leeds fan, I have to say that the game tonight doesn't really give an indication of either side
Leeds were awful tonight barring the first 25 minutes. Missed 25 tackles apparantly, lost penalty count (again) 13-7, and just didn't look interested at all in the 2nd half. Nobody other than Buderus and Burgess (and Peacock when he was on) looked interested. It seemed a bit disresfectful of McLennan to take off Buderus when he did (and Peacock) because Leeds could and should have had the game wrapped up after half an hour
The result is insignificant, Leeds will still finish top 2, the biggest problem to come of tonight for Leeds is Buderus' injury. If its a break then we are in trouble. If its not, then normal service will be resumed I imagine.

| Wigan could easily turn us over next week. Should be a cracker if we're up for it too.
As for Leeds; the Buderus injury could a blessing in disguise for us. The guy was great tonight and made Leeds tick. Never nice seeing a player stretchered off, hope he gets better soon, but it could help us in the short run.

| They had plenty of options and Leeds looked rather like us against Wakey last week.
Hopefully we'll pick up our game and stay injury free this week.

| Wigan look like the form team in the competition.
I fancy they could now finish fourth in the league.
Especially if they defeat Saints next week. Which i have to say looks eminently possible unless Saints play 100%.
I Felt that Wigan smashed Leeds in the middle and had the edge in pace outwide.
If they manage to hold Saints down the middle then i fear our pedestrian backs will get left for dead by the faster Wigan ones.

| All depends on whether we want and need to win the game. If we play like we have recently they will smoke us. I just hope the players will recognise the significance of the game and raise themselves like they do when we play the big derby against Warrington.

| After our last showing against Wigan, I've no doubt the players will be determined to put in a better performance.
Ultimately it depends what squad we can put out though. We can't afford anymore injuries.

| I think both Saints & Leeds have been mediorcre more times than they have been on top form this season.
You get the feeling that both are keeping something in reserve for when the play offs come along.

| First time in a a very long while that St Helens will have the more tense set of supporters going into the game!
I think you'll be smarting after Edinburgh though and will really come out firing at us.
I fancy you to edge a cracker.

Hmmm. I want the drugs you are using please!
For us to murder the Pies next week it would take a total reversal in form. Now, that's not impossible for either side because Wigan are not known for their consistency and they might have peaked tonight (well, it's a hope worth holding on to for a little while!). But what are the chances of us coming out all guns blazing with our injuries and our present form (well, actually, most of season form!)?
It will be heart failure stuff on Friday ... or a total tonking!

i was speaking to a loiner on the way from the ground and he agreed with me
we bossed the game for 3 out of the 4 20 minute periods
leeds had a good 2nd 20 in the 1st half when they scored
not sure what happened at HT , but leeds never got a look in 2nd 40 , end of story
next week will be a different story when this result will really count for nowt , but .........
on form , its wigans game to lose

You may be right. Leeds were not at their best last night and Saints will be up for a game against the old enemy, but for us Wigan fans its nice to go into a derby with us having a genuine chance of beating you!
Let's face it, the one thing we can all agree on is that the Saints/Wigan derbies are the greatest in the game, and one of the great match ups of British sport.
Next week is set up nicely and should be yet another cracking game!

Thats the fantastic thing going into this, the fact that both teams fans will go into the game seriously thinking they can win the game for the first time in a while time will help make the whole build up to it even more exciting.
After watching last nights game I am not confident but at the same time I know that we can win it and I can't wait for next friday!

| I honestly think we'll win, and quite comfortably. I think its going to be one of them games were we go into it with our backs against the wall, everyone expecting a defeat and we manage to turn it on and hit some form ahead of the semi-final. I'm looking forward to it, we don't go into games against Wigan with our backs against the wall, expecting a defeat often and i'm confident we'll get the win.
