| Any news on how he is recovering from injury ?
I like his enthusiasm, he seems to have show in his brief(ish) appearences for us that he has the skills to back it up as well

Whats he injured and when. He seemed OK at the end of Bradford game. Has he played in reserves since?

| Will he get a chance in the centre this weekend?
If Gilly's injured, it would seem like a sensible option and perhaps favourable to the slightly more pedestrain choices of Dean or Armstrong - but I wonder whether Lomax will come into the equation?

| as far as I know, he hasnt been injured - Potter seems to be alternating Eastmond and Wheeler within the 17 man squad each week. Although, following last week there is a very strong argument for both to be included each week in future.

| Other than Eastmond, who appears to have a real natural spark, are any of the other kids coming through ever going to be more than another Ian Hardman? I haven't seen anything from them yet to suggest that they are going to set Super League alight? Ok, they haven't let anyone down, but neither did Hardman, are they going to be match winners? I must confess, I have only seen them on limited occasions, so am no expert, but certainly not convincedd yet that they will make the step up to regular first team action.

Wheeler looks like one, who if given a role in the middle of the park, who will have that natural edge. His footwork is Pryce-esque, and he appears to have been hammering the gym (a chest Andy Northey and Mike Bennett would fight it out over) to make the step up.
Given time to adapt to Super League, he is really one to watch.

I think Wheeler looks very composed and capable of doing impressive things at SL level. I also thought Lomax looked very slick playing full back at Wakey.
Your Deans and Armstrongs may only turn into journey men, although if they get a bit of luck and a decent run in the right position they could well kick on and do more.
Ashurst and Frodsham? Not sure yet - the jury's out.

Frodsham makes good yards for a youngster, but he is about as visible on the fitness list as JC.
Ashurst. I like him. He runs clever angles. His only weak spot is defence, which needs a few visits to the firing range to bolster the cannons.

| I assume that Wheeler and Eastmond have played next to each other for years in the junior/academy setup, so lets but our b**ls on the line and play them both one week at 6/7 and see how we get on. If it doesn't work then well we were trying to promote the youth, but if it does....

Alot of people were raving about Dixon earlier in the season before he got injured - when's he back and, if it weren't for injury, do we think he'd be infront of Ashurst in the pecking order?

The scope is that the issue was not as bad as first thought. He is being checked weekly, but the suggestion of an op came a little premature.
Nuts then got wind, did a bit of an interview with Donk and made out like he was about to die.
Any suggestion of an op is not needed just yet.

His chest appeared to be mainly padding on Sky the other week. Unless he has some kind of Tony Stark chest plate.

Cant beleive you are having a dig at the "chest".... leave the kids chest alone, its world class.

| On Cherry they are questioning the continued ommision of Ainscough and rumours of the "he can't play more than X amount of matches or we have to pay him more and we cant afford that under the cap" variety have surficed. This was commonplace before salary cap days, so could this be a reason for some of our juniors not getting a runout? Wheeler played quite a bit a the start of the season, so perhaps we can't afford to play him?
Someone pop into the Crispy Cod and ask his mum

That was a theory banded around at the time. Another was that he isn't going to make it.
Or just that Meli came back
