He said something along the lines of "there are options to lump away games to the start of the season if necassary but we'll cross that bridge later next year"

unfortunately thats dependant or more than our board. I expect us to be there mid 2011

i fully expect this to be the way of things, it no bad thing, all our home games towards the end of the season so we can have a good run into our 3rd consecutive Sl crown

What was the real financial loss last year?

I cant see how we would be allowed to play what would amount to 13 away games on the bounce followed by 14 home games.

It would completely mess up the entire league and not just Saints campaign

Where also would we play challenge cup home draws for example.

The only option is surely to play part of the season at Knowsley road then move out to the new stadium.
Now i would imagine that any move would be phased so i could understand Saints wanting no home matches in May so they could get everything moved across.
However I could not see a situation were the RFL allowed Saints to play not a single home game between February and May.

From the financial point of view how would Saints handle 3 months of the season with no gate money coming into the club.
On the other side of the occasion how would fans handle the expense of 14 home games on the trot, with most during the summer holiday period.

To be honest I'm not sure that would mean playing two months worth of away games in one go as some are speculating but more likely a few in a row during the moving period. Bearing in mind April sees one Challenge Cup game and May another plus the Magic weekend.

Personally i suspect we'll play at Widnes or Leigh for more than one game. I suppose we could always take a home game 'on the road' to Anfield, Goodison or the Reebok if permitted.

The plans are now finalised.

Because the last game at KR will be next season, whatever the state of play with the new stadium.

If we are continuing with the policy of youth development, moving away games to the start of the season - when juniors moving up for their rookie season are at their most vulnerable - is likely to put considerable strain on the kids' confidence. Especially if we start coughing up matches.

For a mid-/lower-table side yes. But if you're setting your sights on trophies I don't think there's any less pressure to perform away from home these days. Especially if you have a functioning academy which reminds any and every first teamer that their services aren't indispensable.

Rookies need as much help as can be provided and playing at home in front of vocal and supportive fans is a big help.

Next season will be the last season at KR, regardless.

I understood that to be the case too. Originally we were scheduled to move in so that we began the 2011 season in the new stadium. However, with Taylor Wimpey having the wobbles, the whole thing has been delayed in getting started. It has been suggested that we will have to have a temporary home for the start of the 2011 season, which is inconvenient of course but I'm sure we will cope given what we will be moving into eventually!
