I think the issue here is the definition of local. Pilkingtons for example- for me any company that puts bread on the table of thousands of St Helens residents and supports many other local industries is a local firm, and the fact that that company, that we can all agree upon sprouted in St Helens, is now a multinational plc surely cant detract from its suitablity to be a corp partner.
Not a fan of this Halo talk, also wouldn't be suprised if the stadium name follows suite, as with the Saints RL branding, and trys to represent a larger audience than just St Helens.
Well, just coz the CEO enjoyed our match doesn't mean they're going to sponsor our new stadium ya know. Maybe they are going to be the official pizza supplier?
