Referee: Tom Crashley (Wakefield)
This is a bit unusual because Tom Crashley has refereeed Oxford before but it was a long time ago. In fact, he did 3 games out of 5 in 2013, all at Iffley Road. Last week refereed Barrow v Rochdale - 3 sinbinnings, two of which were the same player. He must be good, though, because we are the only game this week not to have a referee assessor.
02/06/2013 - Oxford 27 Gateshead 22 (penalties 10-4 against)
09/06/2013 - Oxford 28 Rochdale 42 (penalties 9-7 against)
07/07/2013 - Oxford 4 Oldham 22 (penalties 13-8 against, also sinbinned Andrew Bentley after a team warning)
Good positioning:
Touch Judge: Denton Arnold (St Helens)
The current North West Youth League’s 16-18s Referee of the Year.
Touch Judge: Jamie Barr (St Helens)
We've seen him many times, but this is his first game this season. The current RFL Community Referee of the Year. He and Denton Arnold were the touch judges at the 2015 Schools Cup final at Wembley. Unfortunately this is the best picture I could find (and the player on the far right was a BEAST):
Reserve Referee: Ian Scott (Oldham)
Was reserve ref for Oxford's trip to Oldham in 2013.
Match Commissioner: Bob Connolly (Wigan)
Former referee.
