The new single sounds like a ripoff of Kraftwerk. They are one of my favourite bands, but they have often got a bit too close for comfort to being copyists of the German band.

Probably why I like it so much.

Clearly there are similarities, but I think OMD retain enough of their own charms to make it work.

Hell yeah . Their first two albums were very good ,especially [iOnly Forever[/i which is still one of my favourite albums of all time . They then had a bit of dispute with there record label for a while but released [iPlanet Helpless[/i in 2002 , [iDon't Forget To Remember[/i in 2007 & [iSolid State Recital[/i a couple of years ago which is another great album . Check out [iWhen Your Eyes Close [/i off the last album , It's a cracking song.
Saw them in York last year at Duchess ,Still a great live band.

Public Service Broadcasting album due in May. Really like their schtick

Two albums I have preordered at the moment are Black Angels and BRMC

One disapointment already was SBTRKT live. The sound is pretty awful and would be just passable if it was a bootleg.

Looking forward to BRMC, also gonna give the new Suede album a whirl.

City and Colour's new release. The teaser Dallas put online was just lovely. Cannot wait for this one. Interesting to see Dallas has had a change of personnel too.

Really looking forward to the Prodigy's next offering and going seeing this class live act in person again, hopefully before the end of the year.

Are they definitely releasing an album this year? They are unreal live.

Listened to The Strokes new effort, didn't make an impression on me at all. I'll probably give it another go in the future though.

The word is the next album from Liam and the boys will be due out right a the end of this year. But as someone who has followed the Prodigy since their early rave days, they usually release their albums later than scheduled so it could well be later!

And you are spot on, they are unreal live. Just as good now in their 40s as they were in their 20s.

I'm looking forward to seeing them at Creamfields this year. Legendary band.

The new Skint & Demoralised album came out yesterday, had a few listens and really enjoying it. A lot of passion throughout and a great mixture of singing and spoken word.

A weird thing about it on Twitter though, on 11th Feb the lead singer said "Tried releasing a single back in '09. Michael Jackson died. Try announcing a single in 2013. Bloody Pope resigns.", he got a reply on the same day from somebody saying "@MattAbbottSkint I'll have a pound on Maggie Thatcher dying on your album release day

". I think we need to be suspicious about Thatcher's death now!

Armin album out in May, few previews being dripped out over the last week.
Who's afraid of 138 sounds promising I think.
