I'll start on the venue. Arguably one of the best I have been to in this country. I thought as much when I went to the Alexisonfire gig, but took the emotion of the night into account. Last night confirmed it.
Who ever said Mallory Knox were any good should probably go back to when Finch released What it is to Burn and listen to the bands flying around on Drive Thru, Victory and the like. MK are just a poor poor rehash of everything we have already heard ten years ago.
Finch were good. Not great. But good. I saw them last in 2005 at Give it a Name. They were astronomically better than then. To have a whole room screaming your lyrics back at your at be fun.
The odd thing about yesterday was being in a room full of 20somethings reliving their youth. I saw some haircuts I thought had gone out of fashion. Truly awesome!
It's a really strange one with Fozzy. Musically I like what they sound like but vocally it's borderline karaoke with Chris Jericho being supported with his vocals 95% of the time.
Alestorm, Korpiklaani & Heidevolk this evening in Leeds. If I'm being honest I'm only bothered about Alestorm although there are a couple of Korpiklaani tracks I like.
