Delighted to. Last weekend I was berated on here for 'suggesting' that Mr Peacock would escape a ban so case has duly been rested.

I too thought he wouldn't get banned because it didn't deserve one.

It just shows the inconsistency of the RFL. Peacocks punching was sustained and should have been grade C not B.

Carney copped a ban for exactly the same thing.

I think Zak is a fantastic player and would love to have him at the Wire. He has apologised for his remarks which were made in the heat of the battle and I'm sure he regrets and like many of us wishes he could turn the clock back.

that said, what Zak said is wholly unacceptable and 5 games is about right.

And how many times has Carney been banned for the same offence? And been before the disciplinary.

You are missing the point. Peacock has been in the game years and has an exemplary record, never being banned.

All of the people who were involved in those decisions should quit RL administration and devote themselves to gay rights, because they are an embarrassment to RL.

i didnt, i said that he used a homophobic slur and the RFL have banned him for homophobic abuse. I never said Hardaker himself, was a homophobe.

What we saw was lots of fog-knitting from those desperate to defend him that the words he used werent homophobic which doesnt quite tally with a 5 match ban for homophobic abuse.

I didnt see many, if any, call Hardaker a homophobe.

Problem for me is the validity of that apology (to Monaghan) when the independent findings state:

"The tribunal accepted that the player is not homophobic but were satisfied that the remarks were made to the match official"

So did he get any extra ban for getting a carefully crafted apology drawn up, in an effort to show contrition, that was now found to be b*ll ?

Hardaker insists the comments were made at Monaghan. Neither you, nor I, nor the panel know whether that was actually the case, all we can do is form an opinion based on evidence. The only person who knows whether that is true or not is Hardaker.

Having experienced being refereed by James Child I wouldn't be at all surprised if he assumed the comments were made at him, given he seems to believe the entire world revolves around his ego.

If that's what he's put in his report, then the panel are hardly going to hang one of their own referees out to dry by telling him he's got it wrong, are they?

Is 5 games not enough for you or do you want blood too?
