| I think what will irk GH more than anything is the fact that we wont be part of a money spinning match against an NRL side despite it expanding to 3 games on the back of his lobbying.

| What this means now is Mcdermott's days are numbered.
If we'd gone far in the playoffs there would have been credit in the bank for an iffy season next year.
But the ending to the season erodes away at the credit previous success will have given him. Remember we were only halfway through 2012 when GH was asking the question ''has this team run it's course?''. They won the GF, did nothing last season, won the CC this season but have had bottom of the table form in the league for months. They weren't saving themselves for the main event like we thought because there was nothing in the tank tonight and they crashed out against whipping boy rabble. Leeds just weren't good enough to whip the rabble and that's pretty damning.
When leeds crashed out in 2006 (quite a similiar performance to tonight) they hadn't won a trophy in 2 years but they had young key players who just hadn't completly become winners yet. Now the key men are getting old.
Mcdermott will have next season. If leeds don't make the playoffs he'll be moved on, and so will quite a few of the players.

| You can't play an attacking brand of rugby when you have the 2 slowest halves in the comp plus a coach who has no idea what attacking rugby is if it came up a slapped him in the face. I am willing to give him another year aslong as we get a number 2 in who knows how to coach said attacking rugby.

This is our worst league finishing position in 18 years and yet he is Leeds' most successful coach ever - now there's a paradox!

He completely contradicts his statement made to the YEP when he came in, I'm sure TVOC has posted the link a few times.

| When someone is given a "job for life" as McDermott has been given by Mr No Personality Hetherington then the hunger and passion must die at least a little bit
The CC was a great run and IMHO our best games and hardest games in that comp were prior to the final but since then we have looked like a run of the mill veterans team playing Sunday mornings on the park with the odd exception like Ablet
It's time for change at the top and on the field

| I think Brian just has to flash the Challenge Cup in the faces of these 'know-it-all' critics who want him out.
A win at Wembley 100% masterminded by McDermott.

| Hasn't McDermott been sacked yet?
GH wants to increase season ticket sales next year, 10,000 he wants. He wants each current member to have a bash at introducing a friend. If McDermott stays he is going to fall way way short. Forget the cup, that is a different comp in terms of season ticket sales. Why should people buy a season ticket? To watch an immensely talented side be coached that badly they finish 5th or 6th, which ever way you look at it that is DIABOLICAL!!
Missing out on a playoff run, lost revenue from those season ticket sales & missing out on the World Club Challenge 3 club series will cancel out a successful trip to Wembley and then some.
Make my day GH, give the clown the boot.

More people will probably introduce more friends if there was something exciting to offer them when they turned up.
I suppose it depends who the opposition is though!
Based on the last few weeks 'drag a friend along' would probably be a more apt description of the venture!
I do hope next year they perform closer to their potential.

Problem is we are much much further back now than what we were when McDermott came in. So someone coming in now will have a hell of job on their hands.
Slow steps would have not effected our last few years at all, but massive steps (which is what will be happening now) is a big effect.
To add, the damage done to the academy also from a development and succession level, it's now great for a new coach.

| The club is in desperate need of a positive 'feel good factor' news item release right now.
How about a new 5 year deal for the World's Biggest Winger?

Hall has had two five year deals announced in the last three years. Why not make it three five year deals announced in the last four?
I'm of the opinion the club should back off from any deal with the serial miscreant for the time being, if only to see if he's capable of going six months without behaving like a complete and utter moron.

| If you take a step back though from the obvious disappointment at the end of the season, GH will look at the cup win as something he can use for next year. I don't think he necessarily buys into the need for 'big' signings to sell tickets.
What I would be surprised at is if he wasn't well aware of the need to provide more entertaining fare in the league for more of the season. Nobody can guarantee winning anything, but throwing games away is clearly not good enough either.

| From a Chief Executive's viewpoint, unless your bottom line is suffering due to on-field performances where's the need for change?
Leeds will have made a few bob out of the Challenge Cup. Gates are pretty steady, albeit not at the giddy heights of 2004, presumably the commercial department keeps ticking over?
So why go out and splash the cash when there's no guarantee you'll get a return on it? Expect a 2015 not remarkably different from 2014 in terms of personnel.

I guess this about not resting on Laurels. In the early 2000s Nokia had a product that everybody wanted. They got complacent and missed the smartphone boom, and as such can't sell a smartphone for love nor money.
Fans are fickle. If they don't feel they are getting value for money, and that may be in temrs of entertainment, or silverware bragging rights they will go elsewhere. The job of GH is to see when the dip is going to happen, and try to prevent it. If its left until next summer to sort out it may be too late regardless of who is announced to start the 2016 season.
