I can't make heads or tails of this team, sometimes we look like we can't be d and have no quality. Then we have incredible effort and good ball skills.

I like the look of Lisone but I think we'll be regretting Walters moving on already.

Love a good Powell drama. We've seen 2 bad coaches in Watson and Powell the last 2 weeks, not the temperament for it.

Powell does seem very emotional. That temperament trickles down into his squad

And his answer to their problems, more recruitment. The wire way.

Warrington did look disjointed without Williams. Thought McDonnell was really good - a couple of times he stopped Ashton otherwise getting breakaway tries.

So great individual performances again from our boys. Myler & Handley getting through a tone of work at the back and finishing our tries well. Lisone is getting better with every game mixing up his play carrying hard then having some great soft passes for a big man. Austin & Sezer seem to have rediscovered some confidence and their running game & kicking game which is great to see. I'm hoping we can go on a run now similar to last year we won 9 out of our last 11 games last season. With us winning our last 2 games we have 10 fixtures remaining if we were to win 7 or 8 of them remaining games that would put us 30-32 points that would be more than enough to secure a play off spot and on our day I would definitely fancy us to beat anyone in the league our only problem is can we find the consistency to keep these performances going time will tell. Agree. I think Austin was class too, definitely deserves a new deal! Thought Sezer was good too to be fair he directed us around the park well and ran with the ball.

I’m fuming about Walters though.. he should be a corner stone of that pack with our other young stars but he’s clearly had his head turned by Wigan.

Some impressive performances across the team tonight. It was good to see us build pressure in the 1st half, rather than trying to score off every set. It is something that we have struggled with most of the season but we were good tonight.
As well as those already mentioned, i thought Nene carried the ball really strong and made some important metres at times when we were under pressure.

Thanks a lot for letting us score that 1 try which was a forward pass btw. Anyway it probably keeps Powell in a job and by extension that gobe Fitzpatrick. No this is not knee jerk either it’s been a while coming especially the last named person.

Great win that, I thought it was a better win than last week, Warrington even though below par were far better than hudds, I thought our intensity in defence was excellent.

Lovely to see us build pressure in that first half.

It’s a bloody good job we won because that journey home would have been very unpleasant with the m62 being closed if we had have lost!

Think we’ve got to give Austin a deal, and I can’t believe im saying this but id Sezer carries on this form he might be worth another year on reduced terms!

The problem Powell has he has nothing in the bank in terms of good will, you were absolutely dire last year, and don’t look much better even with his side that he’s built. Yes you started well but the drop off is really alarming.

I think a Leeds have turned a corner. Plenty to still work on, but things appear to be clicking. The losses against Wakey and against Cas looked to be more than just poor form, as though something was wrong behind the scenes. The players have looked a lot less distracted the past couple of weeks. I wonder if the unfortunate incident with Zane upset the changing room enough to effect the games, and the more recent news has eased everyone again?

I had the same thought, we sometimes forget the players are human beings like the rest of us and xanes situation could have affected them

Austin definitely deserves a 2 year deal and the fact he appears to want to stay with us means alot.
Sezer has shown what he is capable of,but it's not often enough.Its not known whether it's by choice he is or wants to go back home but could be worth another year
The way Walters has been progressing and performing in the past weeks afraid it's one that's going to bite us in the backside.At his age Jamie Peacock was far from the finished article.

Shout out to Fusi too, he returned the ball well and was a threat under attacking high ball.

It's no coincidence Austin and Sezer play better when playing as runners. I know in Sezer's case especially, people think of him as an organiser, but but he operates best as a runner, particularly close to the ruck.
I've heard people say tha Smith prefers a running full back, but having an extra ball player on the edges with Smith as the central ball player really gives our attack much more balance.

The last couple of games (and at other times when we've played well) there's been intent with our carries, we've respected the ball and played when we've earnt the right to as well as having some speed in our defensive line and winning collisions. We've also ditched short kick offs and other corner cutting methods. Theres definitely a shift in Rohans philophies as he's experienced what doesn't work and what does.

my mate at work, who has a sl winners ring( not with leeds) said the same this morning. there's definitely a shift in tactics and fair play to smith. I could argue he should have done it way earlier but hopefully the futures good

First 30 minutes we were outstanding, potentially the best we've been all season.
Wire came back into the game but at no point did I worry we were going to lose as our defence was solid and their attack wasn't much more than one up rugby.

Austin and McDonnell were stand outs but thought MacDonald also had a great game, he makes loads of metres out of yardage and then a quick PTB.

It was good to see our pack hold its own against a team with lots of big middles, especially Kasiano, too many games he has run riot against us but not last night
