I once dropped my phone in the pond. Phone was insured though so they just sent me a new one. Not sure how much luck you'll have with house insurance. Any experience I've had is they'll do their best not to pay out at all costs.

My brother-in-law fell into a pond whilst at a friends house that our friend didn't even know he had! Comedy Gold! It was at a party and a few of us were throwing a rugby ball around his rather large garden. He was running for it and went straight into the bushes and into a pond. One of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life. More so was our friends reaction, shouting into the kitchen from his garden chair without even flinching to help... "LOVE!???!! Did you know we had a pond??".
