Ignoring the percentages and looking at it the old fashion way we’re on 24 points and Wigan are on 26 points having played the same number of games before they take on Warrington today. If Warrington win we’ve got a good chance of finishing 4th.

Anyone worked out all the permutations? Can we still actually fall out of the 6th? Or are we pretty much guaranteed a play off spot?

If HKR win all their games and we lose both of ours they will finish above us. However, next week we play Saints and one of Cas or HKR will lose so it will be in our hands when we face HKR last game of the season. If they manage to somehow lose today to Leigh, we’re almost there.

So… let’s say we get Mik back, and Gale after we do make the play offs (and don’t suffer any additional injuries).

As Hull Kr have to play Cas its really winner takes the play off spot in that game. ideally assuming if Rovers win today and we loose are last two and cas win just once more we could go out, ideally if Cas beat rovers where home and dry, if rovers win there next two then assuming we lose at saints then we could go out. Rovers realistically have to win there last 3 games which means they have to come to headingley and beat us.

It absolutely is, I’m not sure how some of our fans can’t see that, we’re beating teams with so many first team players out including crucial positions like our half backs. Tetevano would start though.

We took Cats pretty close away (we got our selection wrong...) and I think Saints are beatable right now.

Both sides tipped in a tremendous amount of energy in their magic games. A couple more injuries in the mix and it's one of those fixtures which is hard to call.

I'm sure Agar will play best foot forward in an attempt to get into the top 4, although I'm not sure our home form has been all that this year.

Maybe a 5th finish. I can’t see us beating Saints at the moment but I think we could rise to beat HKR if we have to.

Leeds and KR are the other way round.

I think the likely outcome now is that we miss out.
I think KR will beat us.
Too many missing to get a result.
And Wire will rest players.
Only chance is that Cas have looked average for last few weeks.

Leeds look like they will fall foul of the points percentage rule, whereas others seem to have benefited disproportionately. HKR have played 4 less games than us. Anyone know which teams they managed to avoid playing - just out of curiosity?

Pretty sure they missed games v Saints, Warrington, Hull and Salford. They also played Leigh 3 times lol.

I do wonder if there might be a little spurt in cases in East Hull this week and whats the RFL going to do if so? Send them a congratulations you made the playoffs email?

We had games against Catalans postponed but was made to play them. We played 4 games in 12 days and have had to play 3 games in a week a few times to fulfill our fixtures. Other teams have been allowed to not play games.

I think the saying is "it is what it is" the skeptic in me can hear coughing from New Craven Park as i write this.

Saying that KR are a terrific team to watch and Tony Smith has done a really nice job which is still ongoing. Coote signing for next year is a beauty.

Hull KR are a club on the up, they are getting a lot right on and off the field so fair okay to them.

But, it does show how ‘unfair’ the % system is, Im not moaning by the way, there was pretty much no other option for this season
