You mean they don't agree with the other clubs? They could have voted against it in the SL meeting. It would have no effect on whether the structure went through at a future RFL meeting whichever way the vote went, which it seems they would have been in the majority with the absentees at the SL meeting.

There is still no reason to tie a change in RFL governance to a vote on the structure of the league. Either it's a good structure or it's not. It'd be like Ed Milliband saying he won't vote on (in whichever way) a piece of legislation unless theres a general election first.

. While my opionion of the HDM often complies with Mr Gilder's, in this case I can confirm the source, as I was witness to the information first-hand too. That article reiterates everything AP stated at our forum the other night, Pearson is the 'mole', albeit standing waving his arms in broad daylight (or the KC's electric lights, as it was) such is his outrage, not hiding underground. I heard it all with my own ears and so did the the HDM journalist - also present (confirmed by my own eyes). In addition thousands of HullFCTV viewers and local radio listeners also heard him live.

As Pearson was the only SL chairman present at our forum the Mail had to take his word that he also reflects the concerns of the other 5 rebels. They were therefore obliged to use the cautious phrases you highlight. But he couldn't have been clearer. Or perhaps you think Pearson's lying?

The clubs would do well to be wary of GH and his agenda - he has his man running the game in Nigel Wood. It was Wood who presided over the near collapse of Halifax what does he have in his resume to suggest he is fit person to run the game. Since he took over the sport has seen declining participation, huge fund cuts from sport England, no major sponsors etc why would you let him decide on the future of the game?

GH has much to answer for - he has not come out of this smelling of roses, trying to push a vote through in this manner is pretty underhand and typical of his low ball tactics. No wonder Lenegan and Moran are very wary of him and methods.

He does have a record of bending reality to deflect blame/suit what Hull fans want to hear.

GH has done a great job for Leeds - albeit on the back of somebody else's money but if he told me it was daytime I would look outside!!

He knows that he cannot move forward without Wigan - they are the biggest name in the sport - Lenegan holds all the aces here and Gary knows that. This restructure will not go through without an erosion of Gary's power base i.e. the removal of Wood.

We must agree to disagree - my son lives in Australia - the only team they know over there is Wigan. Its heritage and achievements are way beyond that of any other side in the UK.

I am in South Africa a lot, they love their rugby over there, but of course only know union. However, when I am in meetings and rugby comes up I tell them I am a League fan. Some know it some don't. But just about every occasion they have known, the response is "isn't it Leeds that win it all the time though" to which I obviously reply my team.

Melbourne were never known 10 years back. Outside Australia who is the most well know side now over there?

having been there aussies are virtually all insular about everything especially sport, and they don't give a toss about leaue or union outside australia.
