| Lisone would be potentially replaceable with a British player. Depends how good the lad actually is of course.
If BA isn't going to stay past this season, we should be looking to find an absolute top quality replacement. While too many signings have been shambolic (for a number of seasons), we really haven't helped with the amateurish selection of coaches (an ex player with a terrible NRL coaching record propped up by his dad, a failed SL coach and Tony Smith's nephew). Before anyone suggests it, I don't think McGuire should even make a shortlist until he's had a couple of years as head coach somewhere else.

Depends if Sivo recovers fully, he might never play again or just want to go home after 12 months injury.
Even if Frawley and Lisone go well this year neither really warrant and extension.

Think Langley is already being groomed as next head coach

| [quote="exiledrhino":2xmp71qa]Finding diamonds in the rough was Blease's job coming in. Too many times we've signed players with a decent rep who appear to be rubbish, so I'm more than happy to give him a chance.
If you listen to the latest 'off the bench' thing with Sky, BA pretty much confirms he'll be home after this season for family reasons, which is fair. Any thoughts on who will be next?[/quote:2xmp71qa]
The frustrating thing about that interview is that Wilkin affectively blurted out an answer for him before he had time to open his mouth. I'm sure his heart strings are being pulled, but if he were 100% sure about going home we'd know by now. I'd say there is still a chance he stays for another year particularly if we start the season well and no opportunity materialises back home.

| I agree with thunder I think Langley will be the coach after BA learning from BA and basically being groomed into it

| I doubt it, I think if BA heads home he will have a hand in finding a suitable replacement from within NRL.

Paul Rowley would be my guess

| I would say Rowley without a doubt. However, i'm hoping Arthur stays another couple of years, he's only really just got going.. would be a big blow.

| If we lose him we have to get the absolute best we can.
If we go unproven / cheap again we will be back to the beginning

| ECW signed to play wing I believe.
Last winger to sign from Tweed Head Seagulls, none other than the club legend Joe Vickery. ![Very Happy :D]({SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif)

Well that sent a cold shiver down my spine...Let's hope the new lad can actually catch a ball.
I watched the podcast with Langley this morning. I think it could well be him. He's a good communicator and has done a decent apprenticeship. Matt Peat has shown you don't need a big name if you're groomed correctly into the position.

Would not be surprised to see him line up on the wing initially although think it indicates that Arthur is keen to keep Connor out of the centres and in the spine positions where we can maximise his involvement in the game.

| Yeah ECW on wing i reckon, pretty much a straight swap. Less sure how 1, 6,7 and JC works once everyone's fit.

I'm not sure how long he has had coaching in RL, but if it is only this coming season, then I would prefer for him to remain as assistant a little longer before potentially giving him the role.

| He looks a strong player.
If he can make the yards early and be in the right place to score I'm happy with that.
Only one year I think ? So that suits us

IMO Brad will only be here for the 2025 season,I'm not a poker player, but if i was, then he's definitely going home at the end of this season without a doubt.
The clues are there for all to see,Like his family moving back and forth from Oz to the UK, He also hasn't seen his 2 boys for almost a year now
Brad Arthur has been like breath of fresh air to our club and I believe that the attention to detail that he has put into place will definitely help our next coach (Paul Rowley?) or whoever is the next head coach to progress our club back to being capable of winning trophies

Arthur is just getting a wage until he gets an offer to return the NRL.

Probably got him on the cheap as he hasn't played a single NRL game.
