To be fair there is an element of hopeful speculation on this thread and may be it's a case of 2+2 = 5. But with Clark calling it "rumours"(hardly an emphatic denial) in your local rag, I'd give it a 50:50 chance of coming to anything (and that is probably blue and amber optimism)

Smith also revealed that any more recruitment for 2016 by Warrington will likely be dependent on someone else leaving the club. He said: “For us to do some other things and tinkering, we’d probably have to move someone the other way. We’re still looking and we’re still tinkering and I reckon in the next little while we might do something.

“There’s a lot of players still available and extra when little things happen it does have a chain effect. I think there’ll be some movement for a while yet.”

Referring about the likes of Joel Monaghan, Asotasi, Grix and Wheeler who are leaving but haven't been confirmed yet.

As said previously, Clark won't be leaving Warrington this season.

Mind you, I suppose we can't offer Daryl Clark what he really moved to Warrington for, can we?

I thought he was sold to Wire, by cas when they needed money

he was, 18 months before he moved. then warrington tried to pull out just before the move was due to take place. not sure why

Warrington DIDN'T try to pull out of the deal, more absolute pap.

Rumours at the time were that the player himself wanted to stay at Cas, as things were looking better both on and off the pitch.

Cas accepted money from Warrington 18 months before it was agreed that he'd leave, that was the speculation anyway. Warrington fans themselves voiced concerns that the player didn't want to join them.

I believe Clark mightve wanted out....Warrington didn't.

Sounds like a good recipe for a happy player and a settled team, way to go wire

Clarks not the reason we've been pap or unsettled, despite not hitting the heights of last season he's been very good - second only to hill for us this season (not much other competition granted). Wouldn't surprise me if you did sign him and a very good player you'd be getting. We'd have to be getting someone pretty decent as replacement first for him to leave.

It's not a deal until a contract is signed. Until then it is pure speculation not matter whose dad says so.

If finding a suitable replacement hooker for a Top 4 side was easy we wouldn't have struggled for a number of years as well as this one.
